One of the older middle-aged women stepped forward, stared at Enna Clark with suspicion, and questioned her in a less than good tone, "Is an apology useful? Our family member is still in the hospital fighting for their life, do you think a 'sorry' is enough?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she felt a cold gaze fall upon her, making her shiver instinctively. She looked in the direction of the gaze.
Only to find the man who came along with them standing proudly and nobly. That chilling gaze that made her tremble was from him, with a dark and fierce look!
Her arrogance was diminished by more than half, but in front of so many people, she couldn't show that she was intimidated and stood her ground.
With her words as a lead, others followed suit, "Yeah, is 'sorry' useful? Can an apology get my husband out of the hospital? Can 'sorry' make it seem like nothing ever happened?"
