Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Passionate Party

The night was as dark as ink, near Godolkin University.

Inside the abandoned villa, lights were brightly lit, and the deafening subwoofers roared and vibrated incessantly.

This was the scene of the freshmen's "Wild Party."

When Wade arrived with Jade, the party atmosphere had just picked up, the air thick with a mixture of alcohol, sweat, cloying perfume, and strong smoke.

"Have fun!" Jade shouted over the music.

He skillfully took two glasses of liquid of unknown color from a passing waiter's tray.

Wade looked at the overcrowded scene and took the glass: "Didn't you say there's a curfew? Why are there so many people out?"

Jade took a small sip of his drink and shouted: "As long as you're not violating the curfew on campus or getting caught by guards on campus, pulling an all-nighter outside? No one cares at all!"

'I'll absorb as much as I can; if I really can't break through their defense, then forget it.' Wade's gaze scanned the room like radar; in his perception, over forty mosquitoes responded to the call.

He circled his fingers, giving the mosquito swarm simple instructions: forage individually, return after taking one bite of blood, and never be greedy.

The mosquito brigade broke into small groups and flew toward the crowded areas.

Under Wade's precise guidance, they accurately avoided the dancing crowd, specifically looking for "prey" who were already incoherent from drinking, focused on kissing, or collapsed in deep sleep.

The party was a perfect replica of the most classic wild American campus scenes, just a superpower version.

People in the dance floor were dancing intimately with abandon; the bar tables were surrounded by jeering and playing crowds; groups of people took turns jumping into the outdoor pool, splashing water everywhere.

Wade rose into the air and flew onto the eaves, sitting down calmly to drink, distinctly separated from the fanatical crowd below.

From the corner of his eye, he locked onto the blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman.

Kate was nestled in a U-shaped sofa in the corner playing finger-guessing games, swirling her glass and laughing heartily.

Wade's gaze fell on Kate's exposed fair skin as he took a sip of wine.

Her physical body is the weakest, but the ability gain is extremely high; she's worth me coming personally... If the mosquitoes were accidentally interfered with by Kate's mental field and it all went to waste, it would be a problem.

'Wait, I remember using her superpower has side effects on herself, so she usually avoids using it... At a party having fun, it's impossible for her to have any mental protection or the like active.'

Wade concentrated his mental power and summoned ten more mosquitoes to fly over.

Multiple abilities were operated and executed simultaneously; [Insect Command] and [Gas Manipulation] were pushed to their limits, combined with his Blood Sense perspective.

First, he manipulated the airflow, creating several weak, irritating vortices over the heads of a few boozy guys at the edge of the dance floor.

Someone subconsciously waved their hand to swat the air, cursing: "Damn it, where did all these bugs come from?"

Then, he controlled a mosquito to bite the neck of someone in front of Kate who was drinking while playing finger-guessing games.

The drinker reacted quickly, slapping his own neck and muttering: "Hiss... there really are mosquitoes..." This action successfully drew Kate's gaze for a few seconds.

'Now!'

In a flash, the ten mosquitoes under Wade's control acted like a top-tier team of special agents.

Using the cover of people's legs and the shadows of tablecloths, the mosquito squad passed through various chaotic energy fluctuations in the air, successfully completing a silent infiltration.

His heart beat like a drum as he tapped a finger with total concentration.

The mosquitoes landed on Kate's ankles, neck, calves, thighs, and the back of her arms—all perfect blind spots.

Kate's brows furrowed slightly as she stopped swirling her glass; in that instant, a faint, strange sensation of being watched by something simultaneously flickered through her heart.

The mosquito squad landed cautiously, pierced, and a few seconds later, successfully withdrew after filling up on blood.

Under the numbing influence of noise and alcohol, the dazed Kate's intuition was no longer sharp, and she only felt strange sensations from all over her body.

"So itchy... Oh, damn mosquitoes!" She reached out to feel her arms and ankles, complaining in frustration, "What's going on, are they only biting me?"

"Hahaha... there really are." Luke was puffing away nearby; he put down the tobacco in his mouth and looked over at the sound, "You smell sweeter; I didn't get bitten."

"Can I even be compared to you? If a mosquito bit you, wouldn't it be suicide?" Kate pressed her arm against his head, her face cold, "Since you like to laugh, I'll just transfer all the itching to you..."

"Don't... I'll call Andre over, you go mess with him." Luke was so startled his eyes almost spat fire, and he immediately jumped away.

At this moment, on the roof, Wade's palm was like an aircraft carrier, with mosquitoes taking off and landing one by one.

'I'll check for diseases first; if I absorb it and accidentally catch something dirty, it'll be a disaster.'

"Good stuff, I'll take it!" A faint sensation of moisture came from Wade's fingertips, and a cold, viscous, strange feeling flowed up through the blood vessels of his arm, rushing into his spine. His temples felt bursts of slight numbness, stinging, and swelling.

The other mosquitoes were also returning one after another.

Basic Abilities: Bestialization (Bear), Freeze Vision, High-speed Healing, Night Vision, Force Transfer]

'This quality... it's just incomparable to those in the research institute; it's too good.' Wade looked at these collected abilities with a calm expression, but his heart was uncontrollably excited, wishing he could run to a no-man's land right now and shout at the top of his lungs.

"I'll absorb them when I get back tonight; if I forcefully absorb so many abilities here, something will likely go wrong."

Jordan Li walked by downstairs, fired an energy shockwave into the air, and shouted boozily: "Wade, what are you sitting there for? Come down, I want to duel you!"

Wade saw him swaying, unable to even walk straight, so he flew down and put an arm around his shoulder: "You can't even stand straight, and you want to duel? Let's do it another day!"

Jordan Li grabbed his waist and walked unsteadily toward the sofa: "Guys, this is the newcomer 'Cyclone' Wade I told you about today!"

Luke reached out a hand in a friendly manner: "Wow, we all saw your fight; let's spar if we get the chance."

Andre raised his glass, nodded reservedly, and greeted: "Jordan's friend... is our friend. Nice to meet you."

Kate reached out her hand and smiled slightly: "I heard from Lee that you gave her quite a surprise?"

Wade's heart tightened, and he exerted all his effort to activate that unstable mental barrier, a layer of invisible film barely protecting his thoughts.

The moment he held Kate's hand, he felt a cold sensation trying to penetrate; the mental protection in his mind immediately fluctuated violently: "It's nothing, just good luck. I'm no match for everyone here."

"You certainly have a way with words." Kate raised an eyebrow, as if she had discovered something novel, her eyes lighting up, "It seems you're not afraid of me!"

Wade glanced at the red leather gloves on her hands and said with a fake smile, "What's there to be afraid of? Who in the school doesn't admire the beautiful senior? I've heard of your great name for a long time."

A pink figure suddenly bounced in front of him; it was the pink-skinned girl with a tail, Harper.

"Cyclone! You're here too?" Her face was flushed as she leaned into Wade's arms, "It's so noisy here, can we find somewhere quieter?"

Wade helped her up: "You've had too much to drink, haven't you? How about I take you back first?"

"I must be dreaming again, hehe... whatever!" Harper's eyes were full of admiration as she leaned in to kiss him.

Luke, Kate, Jordan Li, and the others began to jeer, whistling and shouting.

"Yes, just like that, don't let him go!"

"Kiss her!"

The smell of alcohol wafted over. Wade turned his head, smoothed Harper's hair, and smiled as he pinched her cheek: "Drinking so much, aren't you afraid of being kidnapped?"

He looked at the drunken Harper, his eyelids narrowing slightly: 'I'll just use her...'

A lone man and woman were the perfect excuse to leave the noise and digest the spoils of war.

Wade hoisted Harper onto his shoulder and gave the jeering crowd a slightly smug smile: "Everyone, looks like I have to take this little beauty back first. See you tomorrow."

Jordan Li threw a piece of fruit and shouted: "Why run? Stay and play a bit longer!"

"Privacy is important!" Wade gave him the middle finger, floated up from the spot, and flew into the air.

"Hahaha... newcomers are just thin-skinned."

"Andre, you were the same when you first arrived last year."

Scattered laughter drifted up from below.

Wade held Harper in his arms against his chest: "It's too noisy here, let's go somewhere quiet!"

A chill came during the flight; Harper's tail shivered in the air and subconsciously wrapped around Wade's warm waist, making her sober up quite a bit.

Her face felt hot as she stammered: "S-sorry, I didn't mean to just now, I thought..."

Wade slowed down his flight speed and stopped: "It's still early, I'll take you back to the dorm."

Then he continued to accelerate in the air, creating bursts of wind-breaking sounds as he flew toward the school.

"Wade, you're so good..." Harper couldn't help but hug his neck and nibbled on him. "The wind in the sky is warmer than I thought, especially when I'm in your arms."

"You like excitement, don't you? Then you'd better hold on tight."

"Okay! I've never tried flying in the sky before!"
