Extra Chapter Five
I was formed from a wisp of spirit essence an Ancient Great Power infused into this space upon its creation, and I was tasked with governing it. To escape the Three Realms and achieve ascension, one must depend on the Merit Points accumulated by the host bound to the space.
There are actually quite a few spiritual intelligences like me. Some achieve ascension by having their hosts continuously complete assigned tasks to accumulate points; others do so by acquiring human faith.
Because each of us can only bind to a single host in our entire existence, instances of failed ascensions due to choosing the wrong host are not uncommon.
Having witnessed many such cases, I was exceedingly cautious in selecting a host. Consequently, this caution led me to wander through myriad worlds for a thousand years. Just as I was growing numb, I finally perceived a soul radiating a pure, sacred light.
