In Creation, there were many fire gods who wielded terrible, reality-rending power, but towering high above all of them was Agni, the Supreme Fire Goddess. She was an entity manifested entirely from pure, primordial divine qi, representing the absolute apex of both cosmic and ritualistic fire. As the literal personification of the laws of fire themselves, there was none above her in all of existence when it came to the flame; even the apocalyptic fire utilized by the Heavenly Dao during its terrifying tribulation lightning traced its ultimate source directly back to Agni. In times long past, she had also served as the ultimate, irreplaceable messenger between the divine realms and the mortal plane. No sacred ritual could truly take place without her involvement, which was precisely why the vast majority of sacrificial offerings made to the gods involved the use of fire in some way, shape, or form.
