Startled by a sound, it turned its head and saw the giant Gaby. It let out a MEOW and puffed up its fur, awkwardly jumping onto Thomas Shannon's shoulder, retracting its head, and timidly peeking out from behind his shoulder, stealing glances at Gaby.
Thomas Shannon's handsome face darkened. What a coward!
He looked at Sophie Sullivan with cold eyes. "Where did you go?"
His gaze swept over Fluffy Zane. He knew Sophie was acquainted with Fluffy Zane, but he hadn't realized they were this close.
Fluffy Zane was the first friend Sophie had brought back to the manor.
Sophie raised her hand to remove her mask. "Fluffy ran into some trouble, so I went to pick her up."
Facing Thomas Shannon, Fluffy Zane wasn't as composed and fearless as Sophie. She looked at Sophie anxiously. "Did I get you into trouble?"
"No, don't overthink it."
Sophie pulled her to sit down on the sofa, and a servant brought freshly brewed tea.
