Cheryl Chew stumbled forward, "Doctor, doctor, how is my sister?"
"The patient is still not out of life-threatening danger."
This one sentence practically sentenced Raina Bell to death.
Unable to bear the news, Cheryl Chew broke down crying, clutching the doctor's arm tightly, her fingernails sinking deeply into the flesh without realizing, "Doctor, please, you must save my sister... no matter what the cost, I'm willing, please save her!"
"Miss, rest assured, we will do everything possible to save her. However, you must be mentally prepared; she is severely injured, whether she can pull through or wake up depends on her own will to survive and fate."
With these final words, the doctor, accompanied by several nurses, wheeled Raina Bell into the ICU.
Cheryl Chew stood dumbfounded before the ICU door, looking through the glass at Raina Bell lying silently on the sickbed.
The tears never stopped flowing.
