As the sun poked its head out from behind the Mroebo Mountains, a glimpse of serenity appeared.
A vast lake stretched through the gaps between three snowy peaks. Rocky and grassy beaches dotted it on all sides, some being preserved in blankets of white. Morning's beaming light peered through the mountains, caressing the water's surface. With the fresh breeze starting to warm up, any visitors would pause their travels to take it all in.
That went doubly for a short, green-skinned man at the end of a beaten dirt path.
"Hmmmm… Ahhhhhh." Rizz wafted more air to his big nose, taking as large a breath as possible.
"So this is Big Lake. At least the name's fitting. But where the hell is that hut? They said it shouldn't be too far from the road."
Rizz found stretches of pine trees anywhere that wasn't too rocky. The greenery hugged the lake shores tightly. It added to the air's crispness. But Rizz blamed that greenery for his inability to spot the log cabin.
