"Ah... Grandma, it's you..."
Ella Lacey didn't expect the squishy thing she stepped on was her. She quickly ran over to grab her arm, "Are you... are you alright?"
"...It's alright, your foot woke me up, otherwise I would've remained unconscious on the floor..." The elderly woman sounded as if she was in distress.
"Let me help you sit down. Where is your light?" Ella hurriedly asked.
"The light is broken." The elderly woman answered, trembling slightly.
"No way, have you been living in darkness?"
Ella felt increasingly bewildered. Could this old lady be deceiving her?
"It broke today when I went out. We'll have to wait for the kids to come back from work to fix it. The property management doesn't care."
The old lady's statement dispelled her doubts again. Ella fumbled in the darkness, helped the old lady to sit on the couch in the corner, and slightly covered her nose, saying, "Why is there such a strong smell of dust in your home—"
