"Where are we going now?" Arabella Vanderbilt glanced out the car window.
"Home."
Arabella paused, then gently shook her head. "Let's not for now. Grandpa didn't look well today. What happened definitely embarrassed him. Why don't we go home and see him first?"
Joel Russo buried his head in her neck, inhaling the faint fragrance emanating from her. Hearing this, he furrowed his brows slightly.
He lifted his head to rest it against hers. "Not angry?"
Arabella took a deep breath. "Very angry."
"Then don't force yourself."
"It's a matter of principle. He's your grandpa, and he's my grandpa too. It's his business if he's over the line, but no matter what, he's still our elder! He can be excessive to me, but I can't... I know you don't want me to suffer, but I just want to have a clear conscience, to face him and you openly and honestly in the future. What I least want is for you to regret it someday."
