Dominic Vanderbilt took a deep breath, "Is there something you need today?"
Arabella Vanderbilt bit her lip, hesitated momentarily, and then slowly asked:
"Can you tell me why you want to live here?"
Dominic Vanderbilt was silent for a long time and finally let out a sigh.
"Because I want redemption. With the little life I have left."
Arabella Vanderbilt's expression was calm, "Is it possible to truly redeem?"
Everyone has sins, including herself.
But she never thought of seeking redemption, because for everything she went through, every choice, every decision, she had no regrets.
Because even if it happened all over again, she would still make the same choices.
She wasn't one to have strong faith in gods or Buddha, and if sins must be spoken of, then everyone has them.
What happened, happened. What was wrong, was wrong.
You only have to pay for your wrongdoings, and no amount of redemption or remorse can recover anything.
Redemption?
