Travis Miller stood behind her, gazing at her back with a calm and distant expression.
Her head slowly moved from side to side, still in disbelief as she looked around at everything before her, unable to accept it.
No one knew how long it had been before she suddenly turned around, her eyes seemingly bleeding.
"Zachary is dead?"
There was no hesitation, no taboo.
She spoke directly, confronting the harsh and merciless reality she least wanted to face.
Travis's deep eyes moved slightly as he spoke, his voice cool, "I don't know."
Abigail suddenly stepped towards him, seeing close-up the evident hatred in those eyes. She raised her hands and pushed his chest forcefully.
The woman didn't have much strength.
Travis thought she would hit him like she did yesterday when she was furious, but she chose to push him instead, catching him off guard, his body barely swayed.
Abigail persistently asked again, "Zachary is dead?"
Travis looked into her eyes, "... No."
