Salma smiled bitterly.
"So what?"
"There's no 'so what'. Don't fuss, just apply the medicine quietly."
Travis Miller's voice was a bit deep, but it still slightly eased Salma's mood.
"I thought you'd hold me accountable for her later on."
Travis looked indifferent, "Hold you accountable? Should I let her push you down too, so I can save you again?"
The tears on Salma's face gradually stopped, and she stared at him, "So you mean, if it were me who almost fell today, you'd risk everything to save me too, right?"
Travis pursed his lips, "Do you think I'd just watch you fall?"
Salma looked aggrieved, but suddenly laughed, then shook her head, "You wouldn't."
He really wouldn't.
There was no way, emotionally or rationally.
Salma was happy and stopped fussing.
"You should quickly handle your wounds too, don't end up like me..."
The doctor chimed in from the side, "Yes, if it gets infected, you'll need an IV, which would waste more time."
