For now, Null put the matter of the new flames aside as he simply desired to relax after having rescued Edmond and Evangeline from their circumstances.
With the addition of the two powerful members of the crew, he felt relieved that if something came their way that it would be easily handled.
After all, with the powers absorbed from both the Devil and God the two obtained power almost touching upon Enlightened.
After a time of understanding their new positions, the Devine Couple realized that they were the masters of their respective realms and could travel between them and the Mortal Plane with relative ease.
This authority was something Barter's Ruler found to be exactly what was needed to advance through the levels of power the most successfully.
What he had assigned to both Klein and Z'oelo was to gain an understanding of their home planets so as to attain a connection between them and reach a level of control to the point of attaining that certain authority.
At this point, the two were focusing on gaining mastery over a certain Universal Rule while advancing their respective abilities.
Try as they might though, they had yet to feel a connection with a Universal Rule.
Who knows?
They might not be fated to find a Universal Rule that spoke to their selves.
Still, they had their respective abilities to hone and grow regardless of the boost a Universal Rule might give.
And that was exactly what was happening once things were settled in the Hallowed Plane.
Even without utilizing Void's spatial travel, they could return to the Mortal Plane via a portal opened by either Edmond or Evangeline.
Not wanting to venture into unknown territory, Null made the executive decision to travel back with Void's accurate spatial travel.
Finally, they were back on Theef's ship in the Mortal Plane!
"Home sweet ship!"
"It's good to be back!"
"Finally! Time to relax."
"Speak for yourself! I'd hardly done anything I feel so powerless. Time to train, Muni!"
'You got it!'
Null smiled warmly, "Now that we have Ego split amongst us, we can communicate no matter the circumstances and they can even guide you."
"You really wanna split up again? Not that I mind but can we at least get together once in a while to take on some quests at the Wanderer's Guild," Theef enjoyed the togetherness despite Barter's Ruler's much appreciated company.
"Are you kidding? Of course we can! Right guys?"
The entirety of the crew cheered in response.
Something stirred in Theef that made him feel connected with each of the members and he enjoyed the high spirits.
"Seeing as the younger kids have more to learn and grow, why don't we accompany you to this Wanderer's Guild to join and complete a few quests," Edmond suggested.
"I wouldn't mind testing out my new powers. I have to keep up with you after all," Evangeline agreed.
"Sounds great," Theef said before turning to Barter's Ruler, "Do you still wanna come with or are you going to focus on elevating your strength as well?"
He took a minute to contemplate before refusing the offer, "I've been giving the kids an earful about their powers and whatnot, but I've yet to advance in any way for a while now. I think it's time for me to consolidate my earnings after all this time travelling with you guys."
Nodding in understanding, Theef said to the two, "Looks like it'll be us three then."
"Don't count me out so soon," Null piped up, "I've yet to become a Dimensional Wanderer!"
"Alright then. That makes four then."
The crew split up, Barter's Ruler, Klein, and Z'oelo heading back to their respective planets to hone their strengths and Theef, Null, Edmond, and Evangeline heading to the Trogon system to complete some quests.
Things were uneventful for the most part.
Barter's Ruler went into seclusion and Klein and Z'oelo basically followed suit— albeit not as intensely.
Theef and Null had escorted the couple to the Trogon system to help them familiarize themselves with their powers through quests.
Their evaluations were the same as Null's landing them at the level of Void Wanderers.
They finished the Plains and World level quests in record time and were soon the talk of the town.
Edmond's intense aura coupled with Evangeline's radiant aura made for a spectacle wherever they went.
While they were enjoying a break from the monotonous quests, Theef started up a conversation.
"So, how come you never gave these two one of your energies to empower them?"
Null was not expecting the question, "I hadn't thought of it to be honest. The powers they obtained were more than enough to give them a stepping stone that my energies would provide."
"What energies are you referring to? Are they unlike the spirit energy you gave me before?
"Spirit energy? I recall you wielding glowing powers when you were fighting that pig. Could it be those?"
"That's right," Null recalled boosting Theef and Barter's Ruler with the emotion-based energies, but never those who reincarnated.
He only gave them the pure spirit energy to nourish and uncap the latent potential of each of them.
For Barter's Ruler, Null gave him the Royal Greed which bolstered him to the level of Transcendence and for Theef, Null gave him the orange Companionship that molded him into a shapeshifter.
He had given them each strength beyond what they were previously capable of all with the emotion-based energies.
For the reincarnated members of the crew however, they had each been born with powers that only grew with the addition of the spirit energy.
Before, he could have used the excuse that he had no suitable emotion to pass on to the others, but now, with the variegated multitude of Emotions, there was bound to be a match for each of his companions.
"Why don't I ponder a bit on the matter. After all, there's so many to choose from."
"I was just asking. Not like they're any weaker than I am without the energies."
Null tasked Ego to rummage through the catalogue of Emotions in his stead as they had the demonic and angelic essences in the Cosmic Structure to study.
'I've already thought about which Emotions fit with each of the energies mapped in the Cosmic Structure, so just leave it to me!'
With that being handled, Null decided to open communication to the others since there were no pressing matters at hand.
The crew often had these conversations that spanned from casual pleasantries to more personal and intimate dealings.
All in all, they grew closer.
With the issue of the new flames set aside they were simply back to the grind of experimentation and in-depth study of their every facet of being.
