Ling Chen cupped his hands towards Empress Yunyao. With his purpose achieved, there was no reason for him to stay.

Ling Chen turned around and walked out of the Imperial Garden.
After Ling Chen left, a rather handsome young court eunuch entered. Clearly, he was the trusted eunuch of Empress Yunyao.
"Your Majesty, have you forgiven this boy?"
The young eunuch looked at Empress Yunyao with some surprise. He was well aware of what Ling Chen had done to Empress Yunyao last time, so much so that he thought reconciliation would be impossible in a lifetime. Yet, to his surprise, Empress Yunyao had forgiven Ling Chen.
"I initially planned to teach Ling Chen a lesson, but he brought something that satisfied me. Clearing the slate isn't out of the question," Empress Yunyao said blandly.
