I've been thinking of writing a Total Drama SI, as I thought about this for a while. There were a lot of fanfics of this show, but wondered why there was barely any self insert characters at all? There were OCs, AUs, but I hadn't seen any that were self inserts. Well, that was until the past year or so, as now there is a few self insert fanfics now. One of which, is the "Realtiy Collides: Ezekiel Chronicles" by CaioCoia. Which has since became a fairly notable fanfic since then, and perhaps the first notable one to be a self insert. Which in turn inspired few others like "Total Drama Island: The Records of Justin" by Oberon1211.
What I've plan was the self insert to be either Cody or Ezekiel, more so towards Ezekiel, as I felt both pity for him, and the fact that he's an underdog, I felt that he's a woefully naive guy who's been taken advantage of or misunderstood by his peers due to his ignorance. But I have to do some more thinking on choosing the character. Before CaioCoia, I have thought of perhaps writing an Ezekiel SI fanfic on my own. But life happens, I got busy, I pretty forgot about it until one day checking out his work and it clicked again.
By now, I've been inspired to do my own version of an Ezekiel SI, based upon his format and ideas. As I liked to write a "voice of reason" protagonist, who works as sort of the glue of the team, but also having some flaws and issues within himself that he needs work on along with helping others to be the best versions of themselves.
I've also doing the route of my Ezekiel SI or Cody, being not only a writer and author of books from his past life but also as a producer and animator. As the books are going to based on cartoons, just like CaioCoia's version. Cartoons from Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Old Disney Cartoons (Pre-2018 and before), the books are going to be in the form of Regular novels, graphic novels, and volume sized comics. I might even use some live action shows as for the books he will write.
The world he'll be in reincarnated might be a mixed world of some cartoons or animations. Who knows?
My protagonist will be reincarnated at either aged 9 or 10, depending what's suitable but I'll briefly go over his reincarnation and skip to at canon age, perhaps doing some flashbacks.
