I'll be missed, no?
It's been years, yet the contact wasn't saved.
__
BBL15 has started with its old vibe. While the Ashes 2025-26 is running behind with lots of controversial voices, one has chosen to remain silent throughout the entire year. Yet a clue to be found to heal the wound. And still, it's finding the chance to move away or to depart.
Yesterday feels like a day to live forever, and tomorrow, the sun will shine as a burden of sorrow. It might hide all the words under the barrier of responsibility. Still, it has remained unchanged, in every step ushering backward.
The sun has not risen yet. A cold dawn suddenly came to present its amour. One is still holding his eyes on the TV screen. Clenching his jaw in every player's exchange, in and out! No hope left. The last name floats on the screen, and he silently closes his eyes and feels the cold wind.
The amour was always like ice. Cold but ready to melt.
"Remember, when I first confessed my feelings, you were like - Who are you to love me?! Ha! Still, I think, and I laugh at how serious you were back then! And I went back to the hotel room, looked at the bathroom mirror, and told myself- AJ, have you become dumbass?! Oh my!"
Where is that laughter gone? Gone, leaving him alone.
"Whether it's time to take retirement or not - It is my decision. And yeah, it will be a surprise. Maybe I can take a surprising retirement, or I can fly over Perth and make my nest here. And make a day routine to wake up in the morning, sing a song loudly so that one's sleep can say bye-bye."
"Enough with the jokes. Now sit and eat the dumplings. I wasted my time behind it." Tye is still laughing. He loves to disturb Turner everything he gets the chance. He adores the face when he gets angry. And talks too much never gives a sec to Turner to talk.
Maybe his expression talks to Tye, the way Tye adores.
Why is the dawn so silent?
The phone is ringing...
No one is picking up. After thinking five times, Turner clicks on Tye's number, and before calling him, he edits the contact to Tye's name. It wasn't saved.
He exhales and puts his phone down. He is worrying about Tye getting stuck in the middle of the road. Still no texts.
"How can you do it? I should have felt normal. I should have taken it simply. Yes, it happens with players. But how can you not take the attempt to tell me? Why are you making me feel like you're going apart? What I did. Wait, I yelled at you some days ago. But I said sorry too. Wasn't it enough? Are you still mad at me? Oh! Maybe I am overthinking. Hah! I should take a rest."
After holding an ice with no melting point- it might be guessed that it's cold around. Only the heat from the finger isn't enough, though.
The sun isn't rising today...
Andrew Tye didn't let Turner know that he was signing the contract with the Melbourne Renegades this season. He confirmed it a day before the Big Bash League and flew to Melbourne. He stayed there. Turner saw the news on television that should have been told before. And he is quite upset thinking about the reason why even Tye chose to do it.
He remained awake all night. Asking one question about the vacancy. He tried to connect the call over 100 times. Then he switched back to Facebook and saw Tye shared a note - I'll be missed, no? He got strange after seeing it. What did he mean to say?
One minute.. two minutes... a few hours... passed.
Still no call.

Renegades vs. Heat,
Renegades got a massive win in their opening match against the Heat. Andrew Tye was so happy. He wasn't a part of the team but was in the dugout and cheering the blokes. After shaking hands, he went inside the dressing room.
He smelt some ardent air.
Nothing but some meters away, someone known is sitting with his legs crossed.
Ashton Turner, his beloved.
Tye looked in the direction and confirmed to himself if he was right.
For now.
"Ahm! You-you-"
"Tye. Got some minutes?"
Tye couldn't say a line. He knows the boundary rules have been created for him. The only way left is- go outside and solve the matter.
After so many mazes of queries, Tye finally agrees with Turner.
Turner always knows he is like the way. If he tells a lie as a joke, he will find it out after some months!
Yes, he didn't tell him the truth. But he should have.
Tye knows it's serious this time.
And he got no excuse.
He might blame himself for the thing. But he wasn't actually listening to all the words hammering him from centimeters away. He was just seeing someone's amour covering him from the cold. And letting him realise some importance he never ever felt. Also, the way he could serve the excuse made it an excuse to pass the way. And he, with all the unpredictable conditions, yelling again.
And he is no one but Turner.
Yelling his all the cares over and over.
Tye smiles. How can he not a joke?
Maybe all he will be asking for the moment.
Again.
