-Laura POV-
"Oh, that is good the didn't actually get you." Tony says as he is looking over Jarvis, I ask "what do you mean?".
" Oh you don't know this Miss Future sight woman?"
"That's lame, and I don't know everything."
"Well Jarvis is actually disguised as that old game system over there that we are going to plug into the suit. What they or rather Obi destroyed was just a connection the everything else scaled up with a holo-interface to make it look impressive. Anyway go grab it and plug it in, will you, I will fix what I can as Jarvis copies himself into the suit."
"Okay." I do as he says without the usual sass because he is being serious right now and I would like to think I sill have some common sense left. Sure enough a few min later the suit opens up and Tony enters immediately ( a bit to fast if you ask me but that's trauma for you) and I hear "Glad to be back and able to communicate Sir. Shall I notify the Police about the attempted murder tha.."
"No.. Obi is mine just keep people and police clear. Where is Pepper?"
"On her way back sir do you want me to update her."
"Not until I am back keep her on her way here. Thanks for the help Laura"
"Ironman Out!" he says as the faceplate closes as he takes off. That was cool! I wont tell him of course but that was SO COOL!
It was only a few seconds later that I realized I didn't have anything else to do without him here, I just hope it goes well, It should all things considered Ironmonger is weak but Pepper should be there, now on her way here but that i hope wont matter with the upgrades that we completed...."He didn't turn on the night mode, O.W. tell Tony to turn on Night mode so he doesn't get shot before getting there." "Message sent."
About 2 hours later Tony finally came back he said it only took so long because and I quote the "Voyeuristic Babysitters in Suits" showed up part of the way thru the battle, asking where he was, what he was doing, etc... and he had to fix his thrusters before ditching them. Then of course he has to regale me the tale of his victory even tough we agreed to keep "battle" records to watch later to see what we can improve on. And as right after he finished "Totally not on purpose" the power went out. (I of course knew who they are based on the smell but didn't say anything so Tony might finally upgrade his security.) As the power comes back online there he is is all his Baldness... I mean Badassness Samuel L Jackson ( which in this universe is actually one of Fury's civilian identities I learned of on one of my assassinations.) He says " Do you two think you are the only Special people out there?" we both answer at the same time "Nope!" (As Tony knows I am a clone and that implies someone had powers before me) making his eye twitch.
"Then put the suits away and forget about them." to this Tony finally looks like he had enough and say " I'm sorry who are you? Last I checked this was my home."
" I'm Fury."
When he said that i thought oh really I don't want to make him mad... wait yes I do! and say before anything else happens. "You are a Furry, that's a weird way to introduce yourself!?" Tony instantly starts laughing so much he cant get any air.
"MOTHERFUCKER! WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME!"
With an evil smile I say "Oh no, Tony he is deaf too!" At which veins pop out of Fury's forehead and Tony passed out from Laughter and we both turn to look at him as he stopped moving around like a worm. "ENOUGH OF THIS! Wake him up we need to have a serious talk Miss X-23." I guess i should leave him alone....for now.
-Few min later-
"I came to invite you both to something that I call the Avengers Initiative, however i am Severely reconsidering the both of you based on poor behavior, horrible personality, and lack of self control." Fury states as he Glares at us both....well mostly me.
"This Avengers thing, why would we want to join anyway? From what I am reading we would be little more the your guard dogs, and while I was a dog of war as some may say, I am done being anyone's dog." Tony says reading one of the copies of papers Fury pulled out of his coat. I read through it and it was as I suspected we would get basic immunity and support as long as we obey. I know that they are filled with Hydra but even the good guys seem to have the same doctrine obey and comply or be dead/jail.
"Its not about you Stark, or even you Miss Howlett, it is about protecting humanity from danger even if that danger is itself.". Fury says with conviction, he actually believes that.... oh please let me see his face when he finds out about Hydra.
"Do you actually believe that?" at first I thought I said that out loud but no it was just Tony. "If you did their would be no need for weapons of war. So please tell us something believable." At this Fury goes quiet for a min then says "And what if I show you both the reason you are wrong Stark, that we need not only weapons but war itself." "I'd say prove it." "Then follow and try to keep up." He says heading up to the roof.... he wouldn't actually show us the Kree corpses or the Skrulls right!? Not after how we just treated him, I think in silence as we take off in a Quinn Jet. (didn't know they had some already... more and more is moving from what i know, i just pray to God most things stay the same.
-14 hours and a call apologizing to pepper later-

That was a long ass ride in which Fury refused to say a word, I think it really only took so long because he is petty.... I will get him back for that.
Wait here Fury says as he walks up to a random spot and places his hand on the side of the mountain we landed near, and says some code that is too far away to hear ;) ( Victor Indigo Romeo Sierra One Niner Niner Five). Really Fury that's your super secret bases password, the events refence and the year it happened spelled out phonetically ..... oh how I'm going to enjoy hacking SHIELD if that's how he names things.
"Follow me" he says as a hidden entrance opens, "and everything stays between us."
Unsurprisingly Tony has snaps with a fake salute and a "Yes dear". Fury seems done with our BS which makes both of us frown a bit as he leads us to a door labeled *Others* as we enter both Tony and I gasp, though probably for differing reasons not only are there alien corpses but a galactic map with information about which powers control which territory though all they have is Kree, Skrull and Nova Empires in Blue, Green, and White. Which while not all the territories are filled ( Asgard and Thanos as well as a few minor, but not weak, powers and others) it is far more that I thought they should know. The territories if I had to give them a number just based on the size compared to Human territory would be as follows.

I must have been shocked more then I thought because I missed the conversation they we having and Tony shook my shoulder asking "You Good?"
"I know this comes as a shock knowing aliens exist but..." Fury says but I interrupt with out realizing I am giving him more info then I wanted to at the time "No, I knew they existed I can smell the difference between then and humans, what shocked me was the amount of territory they control, I mean you have literal Galaxies under different colors!"
Both of them respond with "You knew they existed and didn't tell anyone!?"
"I thought everyone knew? I just assumed that there was some agreement they had to look human?"
Both look a bit dumbfounded and say.
" Stark you need to teach her common sense"-Fury
"HEY!"-Laura
"I will enroll her in school. That will work better."- Tony
"HEY! I don't wanna go to school. But we can have that conversation later what I want to know is why would war be necessary?"-Laura
"Really."- Both say and I fell like I missed something simple
"What we mean is Humanity need experience if we want any hope of winning against the various powers that be, we cant stop war because our future soldiers depend on the past knowledge and innovations in order to defend us." Stark says while looking towards Fury who backs up his statement.
"But what about all the life lost? Cant we come up with something better?" I ask
"That is what the Avengers Initiative is for but we can discuss the specifics later as both of you don't like the terms. For now though I believe that Stark has a press conference to schedule." Fury states letting us know he wants us to leave now that we got proof.
