James Drove the Austin martin around for Charlotte, James opened up the door of the passenger side Charlotte climbed halfway in Jeff ran out "Can I catch a lift to Dawn Corp"
"Get in, I have to head there as well"
on the way to Dawn Corp "What are you doing there?" Charlotte asked
"Meeting with the partners to discuss the project direction" Jeff explained before asking "what are you going there for"
"Meeting with the president to discuss the direction of the company considering a few aspects"
Dropping Jeff off at the front of the company. Waiting until they both saw him entering the building, James gripped the steering wheel tightly "the project is going to continue failing if he keeps going, turning into a money pit and his reputation while fall rapidly" James exclaimed
"That's on him, let's get going we can just join the meeting via skype later" Charlotte said.
James nodded and drove away, Charlotte called President Cho through the car Having a meeting while James drove around. They spoke about the new projects they acquired during their trip and the funds to boost the companies under James's name. a message appeared on the screen from Stefan stating that the banquet is next week at the Bell's.
Sighing before saying "I don't get all these tasks to be honest it's starting to get annoying"
Charlotte grabbed James's hand saying "if we can get the tasks done then he should leave you to do your own thing"
Knowing the day of the banquet, James went back to Lucians Manor letting him know. He looked disappointed not being able to spend much time with charlotte before she had to head off again "I can go by myself this time so you can spend more time with Charlotte" James said honestly
Lucian shook his head "there is no need. you two should go together, whatever comes your way then it would be best if you two work together, when will you two set out?"
Charlotte looked at James "Flight is only a couple of hours so can go in a few days"
"Hmm, may I suggest that you go soon as possible. and buy yourself a property there, that why you don't have to worry about accommodations"
"That is a pretty smart idea, Thank you for the suggestion, Lucian"
James went to his villa that afternoon with Julian, having people to bring over all but 1 car to his new Villa. he stood at the front speechless it was triple the size of Lucian's place. Julian joined James for dinner "we have come so far within this year and a half, you have 3 companies, my people grew tenfold and turned legit and under your guidance I have my own security company."
"You are right. I am surprised you are still with me thought you would have quit with how much running around I have you doing, ha-ha"
Julian stood up straight "No way, we might not be related by blood, but you are my brother. even if you were broke, I'm glad I met you when I did"
Julian filled up both their glasses with whiskey asking, "have you thought what you would be doing if you didn't come across Mr Scott again?"
James shook his head "I have thought about it, I wouldn't have got given The brand" James smiled before saying "but Charlotte would of took me to The Brand for work. wouldn't have owned anything so quick but I reckon we could have pushed it pretty far since my focus would have been strictly on that company, meeting you at that restaurant would have been a little longer though and the destruction of the Kennedy's would of took longer"
Julian tapped the table a couple of times "You and Charlotte were clearly fated. by the way, why did you hate the Kennedy's so much?"
James skulled the whiskey making a thudding sound on the table as he clunked the glass down, "Ollie overpowered me by a sneak attack, broke my legs and caused severe injuries all over my body, my girlfriend at the time walked in and well they gave her the same treatment only difference was she was she was pregnant and well I was the only survivor. the place I met you I was going to that same area for years and you were the first person I encountered. so, if I didn't meet Stefan again, the Kennedy's weren't going to survive with the mercy they did"
Julian raised his glass "Amen to that, repay kindness with kindness"
James looked at Julian and understood exactly what he meant. "By the way James, we still have a 24-hour security detail tailing you and Miss Charlotte"
"I noticed that they have improved a fair bit, they blend into the surrounding people looking natural"
later that night Charlotte laid on her bed tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. muttering "Jerk" she picked up her phone seeing the time was 11pm she texted James's "jerk" he responded immediately saying "brat". they knew each other's feelings by those simple words, her mind kept drifting back to the university. how diligently he worked and how he let everything slid off of him.
She couldn't quite realize back then how someone that was clearly not in her league caught her eye, but now he is out of her league, and everything really changed since graduation, admitting to herself even if Stefan wasn't involved James would of still be working with her. Charlotte would have made it happen, as her thoughts wandered her heart started to race rapidly.
