For a while, Adam, Fromund, and Alexia stayed at the table talking with Karos, Layra, and Carsian before moving away from the family heads and heading toward the tables set up for the Stars.
Only 20 minutes remained until the start of Radiant Branch, and soon the most important guests would arrive, and perhaps among them would be those who don't usually attend this event.
Now, they finally had time to talk about something other than the Zero War and the secret plans of the top-level Phantoms.
"Damn, the Zero War, huh?" Fromund chuckled, holding a cold bottle of beer he'd deftly snatched from one of the refrigerators.
Adam nodded, holding the same kind of bottle in his hand.
"Not good at all. I'm ready to fight a Lesser Lord in the Dead Lands. But… Dozens of Lords of the Befallen Crown attacking the Citadel? We'll have to fight in the Third Ring and the Second Ring, and… in other places, too."
