As it turned out, Adam had practically never used the items for combat or to search for anything along the way.
The Obsidian Compass was one of the few things that wasn't an ability or an artifact of his, yet was important to him at that moment.
Perhaps that was why he didn't immediately realize he needed to keep a closer eye on the Obsidian Compass, after all, if anything happened to it, Adam would be in big trouble.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Adam exclaimed inwardly as he approached the compass, carefully picking it up.
"It's just a crack on the cap; everything else should be fine, right?"
Adam looked at the compass hopefully, but no smile appeared on his face, only a grim expression.
The compass needle was jerking from side to side. Before, it had pointed exactly north and veered slightly west when he reached Island A6, but now it was all over the place.
"Damn it! How could it break from just one punch?!" Adam exclaimed in anger, clutching the compass tightly.
