Suddenly, the hall was plunged into complete darkness.
Camila Ruiz was puzzled.
Jimmy Horne quickly returned to their spot, pulled her up, and then swiftly led her out of the hall under the cover of darkness.
As soon as they stepped out of the hall, gunfire erupted again, this time indiscriminately spraying bullets into every corner of the hall.
Camila Ruiz nearly cried out.
It was terrifying.
Jimmy Horne held her hand tightly and hid behind a large potted plant near the right side of the hall door. He somehow found a phone in the darkness and fired in the direction of the gunfire.
"Ouch!"
A cry of pain was heard, then the gunfire stopped.
Hearing the cry of pain, Jimmy Horne finally breathed a slight sigh of relief.
Soon after, the lights in the hall were turned back on.
