Enticement?
Lying next to Maxwell Peary, Nia Mitchell was tucked snugly under the blanket, only her large, sparkling eyes visible as she pricked up her ears.
When she heard the word "enticement," she instantly moved closer.
"What enticement?"
Nia's soft, sweet voice suddenly came through the phone, reaching the other side.
HISS. Maxwell, you're just calling to show off your relationship, aren't you?
"Lie still. Don't move."
Maxwell frowned, gently pressed her back down, and tucked the blanket neatly around her.
"Have you forgotten the fever you had just a few days ago?"
She's terrified of injections, yet she doesn't take care of herself.
"I'm just curious, that's all."
Nia pouted. Does he plan to remind me about that fever for the rest of my life?
"If you're so curious, go ahead and talk to him."
After saying that, Maxwell actually handed the phone to her ear.
Nia's eyes flew wide, her expression one of utter shock.
