Evelyn Peary was in the living room, wailing heart-wrenchingly. She had just received a phone call from the family home informing her that the Hastings Family had come to propose marriage. To make matters worse, the two people at the family home had actually accepted the betrothal gifts.
At this point, the only person who could possibly rescue her was Maxwell Peary.
She was falling apart.
Hearing Evelyn Peary's cry for help, Nia Mitchell frowned.
Rescue you?
If she doesn't want to marry, then don't. In this day and age, can't one still make their own decisions about marriage?
Besides, if she couldn't even manage her own marriage, why ask the CEO for help?
"Yes, you could talk to my brother and ask him to call off this marriage."
Nia Mitchell gave a wry smile. She knew she wasn't the right person for this job. She doubted her ability to persuade the CEO to do anything, so it was best not to make promises she couldn't keep.
"You should speak to your brother yourself."
