Fiona Sutton stopped in her tracks. She didn't continue into the kitchen but turned to look at Charles Northwood.
"Who's that student?"
She didn't believe that Charles Northwood would casually let a stranger into his home.
"A student from the Chinese Department."
Fiona Sutton rolled her eyes at him. Did he really need to state the obvious?
How come I didn't know that you were this close to your students?
Charles Northwood rubbed his temples, his eyes tightly closed.
"Aren't you and Nia Mitchell my students as well? Aren't we close too?"
"Humph."
Fiona Sutton was left speechless. Were she and Nia Mitchell really considered his students? Seriously, it's infuriating to compare people. The three of them were clearly classmates, so why was there such a huge gap now that they were at university? They were still students, while this Charles Northwood had fucking become their professor. Damn! It was truly frustrating.
