Charles Northwood let out a cold laugh. Although his expression remained unchanged, as stoic as ever, he could sense Maxwell Peary's slight agitation. "I only stated what I saw."
When Charles Northwood saw Phoebe Walker close the door and walk over barefoot, a surge of irritation washed over him.
"You didn't see anything!" Maxwell Peary retorted, getting up. He furrowed his brows, checked the time, and prepared to leave.
Phoebe Walker frowned. Am I somehow clashing with Nia Mitchell? Why is her name being mentioned everywhere I go? But why would they bring up Nia Mitchell out of the blue? She instantly became wary, pricking up her ears.
"I saw it very clearly! How can you face Nia Mitchell?" Charles Northwood yelled, completely losing the refined demeanor he had displayed earlier.
"Mark my words, Maxwell Peary, if I take her away, you'll never find her!"
