Just as Gerry Peary was crying loudly, the door of the ward opened.
Ethan Martinez was still dressed the same way, almost making his face unrecognizable.
When Gerry heard the sound, he looked up and immediately recognized Ethan, even without thinking.
"Uncle!"
Tears were still on Gerry's face, but he was so happy he quickly shouted.
Ethan immediately walked over and hugged Gerry.
"Uncle, I missed you so much."
Hopeful, Gerry looked towards the door but didn't see Shirley Grant.
"Uncle, didn't my mom come here?"
Gerry raised his little face, full of innocence.
Ethan's words caught in his throat, but he didn't say them.
Some things are better left unknown to Gerry.
Ethan removed his mask and turned to face Alan Morgan.
"Mr. Morgan, I'm taking Gerry with me. You have no right to stop me."
Previously, Shirley said she was taking Gerry to see Alan, and he hadn't stopped her.
