As quiet as always. Nia Mitchell frowned, knocked on the door, and walked in.
Maxwell Peary was sitting in his office chair, brows furrowed as he stared at the stack of documents in front of him.
She hadn't paid attention back in the Office Room, so she had no idea when so many documents had been sent over here.
Hearing the sound, Maxwell Peary lifted his head and glanced at Nia Mitchell.
"Sit over here, or go to the Waiting Room. I'll try to be quick."
The icy voice floated over. Nia Mitchell froze for a second, then nodded.
She didn't go to the Waiting Room; she just sat down on the sofa and waited.
A complete silence…
Sitting there, Nia Mitchell would occasionally look at Maxwell Peary, then pick up her phone and keep scrolling mindlessly.
She was really bored, but couldn't find the best way to kill time.
Glancing at that pile of documents, Nia Mitchell took off her shoes and lay down on the sofa, slowly drifting into dreamland.
"Ring ring ring…"
