"Okay."
The CEO nodded, sat up straight, and indicated he wouldn't say a word.
Nia Mitchell raised an eyebrow suspiciously, hardly believing the CEO would agree so easily.
"Really not talking?"
Nia pressed her hands over her ears, arching an eyebrow as she repeated her question.
"Really."
The CEO nodded with certainty.
Only then did Nia slowly lower her hands with a cautious look at Maxwell Peary.
Her uncle wasn't one to compromise like this.
Just as she put her hands down, the CEO suddenly leaned over and tightly grasped both her hands.
Nia: !!!
Whoa!
Tricked!
She wanted to cover her ears again, but her little hands were now tightly controlled.
What a bummer!
The CEO was too cunning, like a big bad wolf.
"You're breaking your promise!"
Before the CEO could speak, Nia burst out angrily, full of accusations.
This was too much; he's the CEO and couldn't even keep a bit of trust.
She vowed not to speak to him all day today.
It frustrated her to death!
