Shirley Grant looked guarded. Hadn't he promised not to pressure her before?
Andrew Davidson stiffened when he heard her question.
"I just got back and was passing by your room. I heard you calling out for someone named Gerry, so I came in to check and found you were dreaming."
Shirley Grant breathed a sigh of relief, clearly seeing under the light that Andrew was still in his formal attire.
It was evident he really had just returned.
"I'm sorry to trouble you. I did dream about my son."
She sat there, suddenly looking pale and powerless.
She didn't know how Gerry was doing now.
Son?
Andrew felt a stab of pain in his heart. He had heard Shirley say she already had a son but was unwilling to believe it before.
But…
He now had to admit that he indeed had fallen for a married woman.
She had her own family.
A husband, a son.
If he were to destroy a perfect family, how rotten would he be?
