"No!" Vera Wave spoke in a low voice. Her tone was filled with annoyance, yet it was also soft, a little bitter, brimming with a strange emotion.
But Kris Cooper did not let her go. Instead, he moved his kiss downwards, biting on the zipper of her jacket and pulling it down bit by bit.
His short hair brushed against her skin, sending an electrifying tingle through her.
She was only wearing a zip-up jacket today, with just her underwear beneath it.

"Stop!" Vera Wave gasped out.
Kris Cooper gently kissed the skin exposed by her parted collar. He then lifted his face from her chest to meet her eyes again, and she finally caught her breath.
"Release me now, or else I… I will…"
Before she could finish her sentence, the man suddenly sat up straight. The front seat was narrow, and she was instantly squeezed between the steering wheel and his chest.
Kris Cooper glanced around, his face inching closer to hers.
"I don't think I've ever kissed you in public before."
