By then, Vera Wave had turned around. Seeing him, she hastily stood up.
"Mr. CEO."
At the company, she always addressed him as Mr. CEO, hoping to maintain a clear distinction between work and personal matters.
Kris Cooper came over, placed his hand on her shoulder, and squinted at his mother. "Why wasn't I told that CEO Hansen was visiting the company?"
That darn kid! He doesn't bring anyone home, and now he won't even let me come over and see?
Bailey Hansen shrugged. "The company isn't your private domain. Can't I come?"
"Of course, you can, but isn't your visit a bit sudden?"
"I was just passing by. Can't I come up and have a look?"
"May I ask where CEO Hansen was coming from and where you were heading?"
Bailey Hansen languidly crossed her legs. "I wanted to have coffee at a cafe near Ashton Building, and I just happened to be passing the main entrance."
Kris Cooper rolled his eyes.
Alright, there's really no reasoning with women!
