Olivia linked her arm with Ivana as they went upstairs, guiding her to the suite she shared with Lucas Walker.
The two little ones were tidying up, getting ready for bed. As soon as they saw Olivia, they flew over like little birds and embraced her.
"Godmother!"
Even someone as typically composed as Olivia felt a pang of heartache, almost moved to tears when she hugged them.
She didn't know about Lucas Walker's situation and thought about how such young kids would lose their father, a pain that was unspeakable.
Striving to resist her tears, Olivia smiled and supported their shoulders.
"Godmother arrived in a rush and didn't prepare any gifts, I hope you're not upset with me."
The two little ones shook their heads.
"Young earls!" the butler emerged from the master bedroom, "The bed is ready; it's time for you to go to sleep."
Seeing Olivia, the old butler hurriedly came over to greet her.
