She placed the porridge and dumplings in the preparation room, warmed them with hot water, then sat down on the small sofa, took out the book she was halfway through, and continued reading.
Time passed.
Kasper Edith finally finished the documents in his hand, sighed lightly, placed the documents on the table, reached for the cup on the table, and noticed the clear cold boiled water inside.
He raised an eyebrow and looked up, seeing Olivia Parker sitting on the sofa, engrossed in her book.
"Olivia?!" Kasper Edith's eyes filled with surprise, "When did you get here?"
"I've been here for a while." Olivia moved the bookmark to the page she was on, "You seemed so busy, so I didn't want to disturb you."
"Apologies, I didn't notice." Kasper tidied up the documents on the table, "You must be hungry, I asked Leah to order some food."
He glanced around but didn't see any signs of food.
"I'll go get it."
