Memoria, like a madwoman, shook off the nurse and pushed open the Intensive Care Unit door.
Inside, a nurse was recording data from the monitor. Hearing the door open, she turned her face in shock and then hurried over.
"Miss, you..."
"Logan!"
Memoria didn't even look at the nurse; her attention was completely on the bed.
On the bed, Logan Bennett had already undergone surgery to remove the screw that had pierced his skull. His head was wrapped in bandages, lying on the bed.
He was wearing the hospital's light blue striped patient gown, his face as pale as in her dreams, with obvious chapped lips.
"Logan!"
Memoria carefully walked over, reaching out her still bleeding right hand to grasp the cold fingers of the man on the bed. Her nose tingled, and her vision blurred.
James Xavier followed in, making a gesture to the two nurses, stopping beside Memoria.
