James Xavier frowned and took a deep breath, "Doctor, I don't quite understand these medical terms. Can you tell me plainly what the outcome will be?"
"If things go well, she might regain consciousness soon..." The Doctor took a deep breath, "If not... then... when she'll wake up is still unknown. Or, it's also possible... she may never wake up."
James Xavier's heart sank suddenly.
"Do you mean she's going to die?" asked one of the staff members beside him.
"To be precise, it's brain death or a vegetative state. The specific situation depends on her personal recovery," explained the Doctor.
A nurse walked out of the Operating Room, "Doctor, could you sign something for me?"
"Alright, I'll be right over." The Doctor nodded slightly towards James Xavier, "I'll be temporarily absent. If you have anything else, we can talk in the ward later."
"Alright, thank you."
James Xavier politely thanked him and returned to Iria Lindsay's ward with the two staff members by elevator.
