He nodded, his tone as indifferent as his expression.
Olivia Smith looked at his indifferent reaction, her heart skipped a beat, and then she thought of something that made her heart sink.
She thought Thomas Smith didn't know it was his own sister who "pushed" their child away.
Her face immediately showed an expression of grief and indignation. She struggled to get out of bed, clinging to Thomas Smith's hand, refusing to let go.
"It's your sister, your sister got rid of our child, Thomas, it was your sister!!!"
She rasped, crying hysterically.
Yet even so, she looked at Thomas Smith's expression and saw not the slightest change, as if the whole matter had nothing to do with him.
Olivia Smith's heart grew more and more anxious. Gradually, her cries softened, and she looked at him with a face full of tears, saying:
"Is it because you're tired of me now, that you won't even care about our child?"
