Liangzhou is different from the towns they had visited before, and also different from Xiazhou.
The city walls are a yellowish hue, and most of the houses in the city are similarly colored. The people walking on the streets are quite different from the people in the Central Plains, mainly because their clothes are vibrant in color, whereas the few people dressed more plainly stand out in contrast.
However, just by looking at the patterns on their clothes and the texture, it's clear they are made from special fabrics, which is why the waitstaff at the roadside eateries are particularly eager to serve them.
