In the past, Liu Banxia was the official chief resident. As a prominent figure in the Emergency Center's reception hall, he would undeniably draw extra attention.
But today was different. He was on officially mandated rest, temporarily no longer the chief resident, so people didn't pay him much mind.
This was actually because he generally had a good rapport with the staff. Work was work, and life was life. Even though all his time was spent at the hospital's Emergency Center, he still needed to carve out a little space for living.
Otherwise, if his nerves were constantly frayed, forget lasting a year—he wouldn't even make it a month.
Everyone has their own way of coping; his was to liven up the atmosphere to relax his own nerves. When he relaxed, everyone else could too. This was another of his roles in the Emergency Center.
