Chapter 2 - Arthur vs Ares

Ares approaches, and stands in front of Arthur. He analyzes him and tells him with an imposing voice.

— "Will you fight without a weapon?"

— "Oh sorry. I'm waiting for her."

From the sky a glowing Light is seen falling from the ground, Arthur looks up smiling at the great Light, while Ares dodges what falls. On the ground of lies a rock with a sword stuck in it.

— "Incredible... Really? Then this will be my weapon. Divine Treasure: Excalibur." Arthur is impressed and satisfied.

— "That one... Mmm... Buddha. I see." laughs Ares.

Arthur pulls the sword from the pedestal, it was similar to his old sword, which helped him in the various battles including the Grail quest.

— "So, you are Ares. The god of war. A mighty god. I promise to kill you with mercy and start making a Greek pantheon." Arthur is serene.

Without mercy Ares throws an axe at him and Arthur dodges it with ease.

— "I understand, for your strength even the axe you can use with a Hand. Why don't you fight without that heavy armor?" asks Arthur.

— "You would die in an easier way . I myself am avoiding using all my power, so as not to kill you so easily," answers Ares.

— "Then I promise to restrain myself god Ares."

Ares gets angry and throws multiple axes that Arthur blocks with Excalibur.

— "You are incredibly strong... Of course... You are a god but, I am the representative of humanity. I can't let you down."

Arthur disappears and appears behind Ares to hit him with a sword straight in the back but as he hits him his sword bounces off. And Ares punches him full in the face and knocks him to the ground.

— "Damn... I must take care of your armor..." As he bleeds he smiles and thinks.

— "You have too much confidence human, I like it. Unfortunately I'll have to kill you quickly." Ares kicks him and takes him flying.

Arthur is lying on the ground looking up at the sky, while still devising a way to break at least one piece of his armor. If what the god himself told him is true, it will probably be impossible to face him, unless he comes up with a good plan. Then he stands up.

— "I'll show you why I'm a hero and why I'm good at planning."

Arthur points his sword towards Ares' neck, the latter mocks Arhutr as he has not even been able to graze him.

Arthur slams his sword into the ground and goes against the unarmed god. Ares without pity or mercy, throws his axes in a very frenetic way to cut Arthur into pieces, but he dodges them.

Arthur kicks Ares and tries to knock him down, he crouches down and kicks him with a kick in his legs, and as if by magic he invokes his sword and stabs Ares with all his strength. He finally manages to break a bit of his armor but it is not enough to break what is necessary.

— "Damn, it's nothing." Ares hits him and Arthur shields himself with his arm.

— "I think I understand a little more about how your armor is made. It's made of a metal from the sky I guess, but for my sword it's like Steel, I just have to find the fixed point where it won't protect. It's simple."

— "Do you think I'll let you get that close to me so easily?"

— "Of course not. It would be impossible, besides you're very big. I reckon you're almost six feet tall." Arthur notices his armor.

Arthur disappears again, and Ares prepares for an attack but Arthur doesn't appear. Until he looks above him and is hit again in the legs and falls again.

A sword smashes another piece of his armor. And so on and on until Ares looks up at Arthur for a single millisecond and throws an axe that cuts him.

— "Damn. So close I came to breaking what I wanted." says Arthur.

— "I understand. You've been hitting my waist, legs, thighs and part of my chest. You've been very close to the waist and hips, though. That is to say you seek to cut my lower Spine."

— "Wow you are smart. But."

Arthur gets too close to Ares and cuts through his leg with a clean cut. Severing the Extensor. Followed by that he cuts through his leg and thigh armor where he pierces the Biceps femoris.

Ares kneels before King Arthur, as he looks down at him with a serene and confident look on his face.

— "Now I understand... It seems that even if I try... I can't resist... To war... To the fights..."

Ares stands up and takes off his helmet, his gaze defiant with scarred, jet-black eyes.

— "Now I promise to kill you and I will make a human pantheon, starting with you," Ares says with rage and unleashed anger. The god of war has become angry.

Ares in the blink of an eye had Arthur's neck in his hand, he was choking him. As part of his armor crumbled, he was unleashing his power.

— "Yes.... See... I see...." Arthur, with his typical serene gaze, kept thinking about how to escape from that, and a plan was devised. While Ares choked him harder.

Arthur's eyes were crying, and he was running out of oxygen. He throws his sword to the ground and at the point of death I call to it. With his last words.

— "Excalibur!" the Excalibur sword breaks a little, but cuts off half of Ares' arm.

— "Aaahhhh!" Ares was screaming and bleeding.

Arthur on the ground rises again, full of energy he again lunges at Ares and lashes out at him as he slowly slashes at Ares. He begins to have a red aura and his gaze was simply empty.

From the rostrum someone is frightened, this was Hermes.

— "Damn! Ares... Ares fell into madness again."

— "There's no stopping it." He was someone very handsome and with an enviable figure, he was none other than the god Apollo.

— "As you know, he has a horrible story behind him." Another god says that it was Poseidon.

— "This battle will be a slaughter." Apollo comments.
