"Put out the light!" Damien shouted.
But most of the soldiers were busy drawing their swords.
It was difficult to make out who the men were, especially since they were all dressed in black. They easily blended with the shadows.
The women were still screaming.
Damien looked towards one of the soldiers. "I want you to gather the women in a safe place."
"Yes, sir!" the soldier shouted immediately, as if he had been compelled by a powerful authority.
Damien moved forward, his gaze searching for Audrey.
From the moment the camp had been lit up with fire, he had suddenly lost track of where she was.
Regardless of how much he looked, he couldn't find Audrey.
Before he could concentrate his energy on finding her, the sound of yells filled the camp, along with the sound of swords clashing.
The men in the shadows had finally decided to come out.
"Damn!" Damien shouted, moving towards the scene of the fight.
He lifted his sword effortlessly, clashing with one of the men.
