Chapter 18: Bato of the Water Tribe
At the theater, Fumikage and Tsuyu helped their classmate Mashiro Ojiro back to his seat, after being helped by Poker.
With the Pro Heroes, Aizawa kept. Melissa tied up in his scarf, for safety reasons.
Midnight returned looking exhausted as Hell.
"What the Hell, Nemuri are you alright?" Vlad King asked his friend.
"It turns out, you can't get drunk while in the Casino, or get alcohol poisoning." Midnight said. "No, I'm not trying to get myself killed from alcohol poisoning. Just trying to get drunk." Then she saw Melissa, "What's with her?"
Muffled screams came out from Melissa's ball gag. "Well, Melissa tried to slash the screen, and a bunch of students tried calming her down. Instead, she gave Ojiro some cuts." Aizawa said. "There is no telling when she'll come down."
"Interesting, So what did you guys learn in the previous episode?" She asks expecting something epic to happen while she's gone.
"Nothing, We all learn nothing. It's just the excuse for us to learn that the Avatar is in love with Katara!" Vlad Said ranting about the episode. "Why does Aang's discovering he has feelings for Katara have to be the whole episode? Where the hell was Admiral Zhao or Prince Zuko? Where's their drama!"
After Vlad King gave his rant. All Might Welcome back Midnight. Ojiro sat back in his seat. and the episode started to play.
Book Water:
Bato of the Water Tribe.
Water.
Earth.
Fire.
Air.
Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. And although his Airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world.
Remember the Audience doesn't see the title, it creates Mystery.
01:00 - 01:22
The episode started, having Aang and Sokka finding a dagger made from the tooth of a whale.
Then Sokka recognizes it.
"Woah, by seeing the Flashback, do you think soldiers from the Southern Water Tribe would be here? Kota asks wanting to see the men of the Southern Water tribe.
"It's possible, they just need to find more clues," Izuku said hopeful to see the brave men of the Southern Water Tribe who went to fight the war, such as the Father of Katara and Sokka.
Those two are the only ones excited the other students are excited too. From 1A, 1B, and the Big Three.
01:22 - 02:02
The students learn that there was a battle that happened between the Southern Water Tribe and a troop of Firebenders.
Many of the Pro Heroes were very impressed with Sokka's detective skills. They believe that the lad has a great future as a detective or an underground hero like Eraserhead if ever the boy exists back in their world.
Even though they didn't find one single man, they did find one of their boats.
"So they were here… I wonder where are they now?" Kota asked, hoping this wasn't the end of this investigation.
02:02 - 02:12
The scene shifted to Prince Zuko and Iroh having their tea time.
Seeing them again was an odd feeling to the audience. There was no general opinion anymore. A lot of mixes, and disagreements.
Who would blame them, learning more about the Nephew and Uncle duo during the Storm and what Zuko did when he wore the Blue Spirit mask has changed their general opinion.
Who knew it only took two episodes to change, their mind?
Someone once said that action spoke louder than words.
Whoever said that, made their point.
Zuko's actions weren't just loud but they also absorbed everything and they don't know what to think about the Banished Prince.
The Pro Heroes could give some speech or lecture about the Villains will always be the bad guys, but, their speechless.
There was nothing they could say about Zuko to paint him in the colors that they wanted him to see… but the only color they could see was grey, not black and white.
02:12 - 02:23
Tea time has been ruined once a bounty hunter has arrived with her beast.
"Woah, what kind of beast is that?" Kota asked curious about this beast.
"Koji, do you have any idea?" Kyoka asked her friend, though he did respond in sign. "So you don't have a clue either, nor have a clue what combination of animals it is?"
"Incredible." Indeed, Tenya and the rest audience were surprised to see an animal from this world, that wasn't a combination of two animals, like before.
Then again, Appa is also a rare animal from this world, true, Bison are real back to their world, but there was never a recorded document of a Bison taking flight.
Izuku did a quick sketch of this animal and was curious about what it could do.
02:23 - 02:51
The whole audience was surprised by what this animal, known as a Shirshu could do. Izuku was the one who wrote it all down. "A Shirshu and this beast have the natural strength to rip metal apart like it was paper, Naturally blind, hence why they count their sense of smell to hunt their target, and their range of smell is very impressive. They can smell someone or something a mile away."
Then he marked down the important part of what the Shirshu could do. "Their tongue could paralyze their target for a whole hour, I guess their tongue has some natural toxin, like jellyfish or snakes." he finished impressed about the animal.
After seeing the toxic tongue, Nemuri was thinking of coating her bullwhip with poison to paralyze her foes.
Both heroes and villains ever very impressed with the beast, they were much better than police hounds. The heroes see that the Shirshu would be great for airport security either to stop some gunman or illegal drug search. The villains see that the toxin would be a great weapon to use, once the poison was instructed from the creature's tongue, like poison darts, or coating the poison on their weapons.
The Shirshu was very impressive, but the bounty hunter raised some red flags in the eyes of the Heroes, it did catch the student's curiosity about bounty hunters.
So Denki let out an interesting question that is shared in the minds of his fellow schoolmates. "Mr. Aizawa, I understood she captured the criminal and is headed to get her rewards for doing so, does that make her a Hero? Like what does the category of Bounty Hunter stand amongst titles like Hero and Villain?"
Denki did ask a good question, Was June the Bounty Hunter considered A hero or villain?
The teachers admit it was an interesting question to discuss but it was also complicated.
The teachers just brushed off the question, unsure if there was even a correct answer to let out.
(Hence why, I asked you my lovely readers to comment down below on what you guys think where the place Bounty Hunter in the black and white titles in MHA of Heroes or Villains.
Or is there a third option, a gray option, like Anti-hero, Or Vigilantes who get rewards?
Well, that's just my own opinion not fact. Oh well.
Let me know what your opinions are, in the comment below.
Now back to the show)
02:15 - 03:01
Admittedly Iroh has a point that June was very impressive, from her skills, and her beauty.
Many of the boys such as Sen Kaibara, Hiyru Rin, Kosei Tsuburaba, and Yosetsu Awase were very impressed by her skill and beauty.
Kendo and Yaoyorozu were extremely jealous knowing that June, was taking the attention of the boys that they liked away from them.
Kyoka Jiro hid her blush, interested in June, as much as the boys.
03:01 - 03:30
The next scene shifted back to Team Avatar, it showed that seeing a boat from the Southern Water Tribe triggered a memory for Sokka.
Showing Sokka a few years younger.
It caught Kota's attention to see Sokka that young and wants to fight with the rest of the men, to end the war.
Kota realizes that even at a young age, Sokka is brave even in the present. He wishes he took can grow up, as brave as Sokka was when he was little.
Then the audience for the first time finally sees Sokka and Katara's father and what he looked like.
"So this is their… daddy." Kota stopped feeling his lips tremble, seeing this scene gave some emotional triggers, recalling his parents.
'If I was brave and strong, would… My parents still be around… Seeing Sokka so brave and strong, he is willing to fight the war.' Kota thought trying to hold his tears in place. 'When I first met Sokka, I thought he was just annoying and stupid. He was just a big kid playing soldier, and trying to make the rest of the little kid play along. I found Sokka a fool, and dumb because I only see that soldiers were dumb, just like heroes.' *Sniff* 'It's not until they went out with Aang to start his Avatar journey, is when I started to see Sokka differently… He wasn't just some big dummy, but he was also smart, brave, and kind. He saved the lives of the Fire Nation village from Jet's massacre. He was a Hero like Deku…' Now tears were pouring down, unable to hold them anymore. 'Can I be brave as much Sokka is, now and when he was a kid… I don't want to be a hero, but I want to be brave like Sokka when I grew up as big as him.'
The little boy hugged Midoriya, as he continued to cry. Izuku unsure why Kota was crying, just hugged him back, comforting him and letting him cry.
03:30 - 03:48
The Hero side knew that the Father would say no.
Instead, simply give a yes or no, answer. The Father gave him a life lesson.
It wasn't about being a soldier, or warrior, but about being a man.
Eijiro, Tetsutetsu, and the rest of the students understood what the father said. That being a man doesn't mean they have to be on the battlefield to fight the war, but it also means staying behind and protecting their tribe.
The audience has seen the Southern Water Tribe, all the men were gone to fight the war. The only man left to protect the tribe was Sokka.
Eijiro and Tetsutetsu understood Sokka's father. Even though they have the provisional license to do Hero work, as men, they have to know where they are needed. They have watched Sokka becoming a man so quickly at a young age. He and Katara lost their mother early, the siblings learned how bad the war is after losing a parent. They understood why Sokka wanted to fight too, but he was needed at the Southern Water Tribe.
They weren't disappointed, Their Grandmother, Katara, and the rest of the tribe had a quiet life. Sokka and Katara helped to provide their whole tribe with food, and there were plenty of mouths to feed.
Sokka and Katara's father would be proud of his son and daughter, for what they did to provide for the tribe and their accomplishments during their journey with the Avatar.
"Sokka grew up being a great man," Eijiro said.
Besides seeing the father and son bonding. The Heroes notice something that they only see now. Besides going to the war to fight for their nation. Many of the soldiers were parents too.
Just like back in their world, many families have relatives who are enlisted to be a soldier.
Relatives like parents, spouses, siblings, or even children when they reach the age of 18.
Just like Sokka and Katara, many families haven't seen their relatives who went to fight the war during their enlistment. There is no telling, When are they going to see them again, or will they even see them at all?
Stain sees it too. The Father of Sokka and Katara is a brave man, the same as the rest of their troops. There is no way to tell about their status, if their still standing to fight, or K.I.A.
They don't want to know what thoughts haunt Sokka and Katara in their sleep, wondering what could have happened to their father when they were away from each other. The same can be said of Hakoda, does he is sometimes in tears in bed worrying for his children, being away through all these years fighting the war.
(The same can be said with Kana, and worries knowing that her son is fighting the war… It's later explained in the same episode that Hakoda was Gran-Gran's son. For the longest time, I thought that Kya was Kana's child.)
03:48 - 04:13
Smiles around the audience's eyes when Sokka and Katara see a familiar face, from the Southern Water Tribe.
Many of the students smiled, and the Pro Heroes too smiled as well. Seeing this man, known as Bato was an honor to meet him. Seeing a War Hero.
"Class 1B give your absolute respect towards this man." Vlad King said to his students as they did so.
"Class A, you as well show your respect to Bato. We're in the presence of a War Hero."
Even Spinner and Stain showed absolute respect towards this man, who gave his life fighting for his tribe.
They listened to Bato, he mentioned that Hakoda and the rest of the men were currently on the easter side of the Earth Kingdom.
"I guess, Bato was left behind to rest his injuries, but where is he staying?" Natsu let out a good question.
04:13 - 04:52
The scene shifts to an Abbey that is owned by Nuns, The audience also learns the name of Sokka and Katara's father, Hakoda, and that he was the one who brought Bato to Mother Superior and her sisters.
"That's so nice of Hakoda to care for his men who were injured, by the sounds of Bato's story that The Southern Water Tribe had bested the Fire Nation troops," Yaoyarozu said. "Hence why Hakoda didn't leave Bato behind to die, rather have the nuns to heal his wounds."
"That's so kind of him," Ochaco said, hearing how great Hakoda is as a leader.
The audience also learned something interesting about what the Nuns do at the Abbey.
"So the Nuns create perfume, by the looks of their environment, I'm sure it's all natural and vegan." Juzo was impressed by the nuns. "I wonder if they know how to make Bath Bombs?"
"If they do, that would be awesome," Sen said impressed at the nuns as well.
04:52 - 05:03
Stain just rolled his eyes at Sokka's bad joke. "I'm starting to believe at Bato, that his jokes came from his father."
05:03 - 05:08
The audience got their eyes wide open as they were amazed at Bato's room.
"Awesome, his room looks so cozy." Kota likes Bato's room. He wonders if his cousin would allow him to have animal pelts as decoration.
05:08 - 05:18
Some of the audience with Animal Mutations didn't like the pelts, but they do understand that it is part of their culture.
05:18 - 05:29
As Katara opened the lid of the pot, everyone in the audience liked what Bato was cooking.
"Stew Sea Prunes, OMFG that looks so good," Mina said mouth watering at the stew.
"Ribbit." Tsuyu's stomach rumbles hungry for the stew as well. I wish we could try it.
With just a snap of Poker's fingers, everyone in the audience got a bowl of Stew Sea Prunes. Kota has his eyes shining in delight to see the stew. "Thanks, Poker!" With just one bite, the boy was in absolute joy towards the stew. "Boy, I can eat ten pots of this!" Kota said loving the stew.
05:29 - 05:38
The audience's eyes got their eyes widened when Katara mentioned a crazy hunting adventure that their Father did with Bato against an Artic Hippo.
It was the animal's description that caught their attention.
"An Arctic hippo?! Geez Louise, The hippopotamus back in our world, and their habitat is by the rivers of the Sahara Desert, back in Africa." Nirengenki explained. "I guess that's not the case in this world. Now we know that there are Hippos in the Southern Water Tribe… Now thinking about the Arctic Hippo, I guess they hunt the Penguin-Otters back in the south. Don't tell me there are African Sea Lions– that, or I'm assuming Lions with gills."
"We'll in the end their hunting trip became a hilarious story," Setsuna said, chuckling at what Bato said, that he ended up being dragged along by the animal.
05:38 - 05:51
"The Great Bubber Fiasco?" Neito questioned, "What happened in that story?"
Sadly the Great Bubber Fiasco was never explained.
05:51 - 06:06
"Aang put that down this instant, It is not a toy!" Tenya said scolding the Avatar. "It is part of their culture, part of the ceremony, according to Bato." Seeing Aang was about to wear a traditional item for ceremonies at the Southern Water Tribe.
06:06 - 06:14
"OMFG, that is hilarious." Midnight laughed at the funny story that Sokka mentioned about Bato and Hakoda. "So they were able to convince Gran-Gran that their little octopus prank was some spirit." She continues to laugh. "Gran-Gran dear, I bet you grounded your son after learning that the octopus wasn't a spirit."
"So, Hakoda is Gran-Gran's child… Here I was thinking, it was Katara and Sokka's mother." Vlad King said hiding his chuckles at Hakoda and Bato's prank.
Everyone laughed too, but Kosei was concerned about Aang, he saw that he was being ignored during their arrival at the Abbey. He assumes it's nothing.
06:14 - 06:26
The next scene shifted to a Bar.
Showing it was the beautiful bounty hunter.
Some of the boys got themselves cleaned up, hoping to get the attention of this lovely lady.
Itsuka rolled her eyes, seeing that Kosei was doing the same thing to get the bounty hunter's attention.
Then the audience realizes that She was arm wrestling with… Ryu from Street Fighter… and she's winning!
Tomura being a gamer recognized the Street Fighter right away. "Holy Hadoken, it's fucking Ryu!" his joy of seeing the familiar street fighter made Tomura very happy, it made his pecs bounce.
"Holy Shit, it is Ryu… or a guy who happens to look like Ryu," Denki said recognizing the character from this cosplayer.
Itsuka was happy with this look-a-like. She wonders if she is going to see any of the women of Street Fighter, like Sakura, Cammy, or her personal favorite within the lore of Street Fighter, Makoto. Because the girl also fights in the art of karate.
"Setsuna on the scene!" Tokage said doing reference to Ibuki.
"Meh, I prepare Mortal Kombat over Street Fighter," Toga said fantasizing about the gore and blood during each fatality, and her dream girl, Mileena, and how she can make people bleed with her teeth.
Feeling joy from seeing Ryu, he wanted to feel more joy, by allowing Poker to grope his pecs. In which the spirit does.
06:26 - 06:35
At the Bar, the Uncle and Nephew duo entered the bar.
"So, back to business then." All For One said to see the Banish Prince is returning to hunt the Avatar. Through his thoughts toward the Prince, all went south.
All the thoughts about Zuko having potential were gone.
He sees what Zuko has done when he dawns on the Blue Spirit persona. The boy is soft, and Uncle his influences him to be soft and weak.
The Fire Lord Ozai has power and an army in the grip of his hands. Would be a great ally to his cause.
06:25 - 07:20
The next scene was a full explanation of why Zuko went to find the bounty hunter.
"So Zuko plans to hire her to track down the Avatar, it makes sense. Her beast can locate the Avatar using the scent on Katara's necklace." Mr. Compress explained.
"Knowing, what the Shirshu can do, it's not a bad plan… Better than hiring Pirates who end up double-crossing Zuko, toward the value of Aang's bounty." Spinner said. "I don't think she would betray Zuko as the pirates did."
Admittedly enough Spinner hides his blush. Knowing he was attractive to this bounty hunter, like the other boys.
What caught Mina Ashido's attention was that the bounty hunter called Katara, Zuko's girlfriend, just from looking at the necklace.
She wonders if the necklace had to do with the culture of the Southern Water Tribe. It's not like Katara is interested in the Bling-Bling that diamonds have to offer.
Zuko might be a prince but I doubt he would use bling-bling to capture a girl's heart.
07:20 - 07:32
"That's not a very bad offer, I might say." Mr. Compress said, hearing that Iroh is willing to pay her in gold, based on his weight.
07:32 - 07:43
Just from one whiff of Katara's necklace. The Shirshu already knows where to find Katara and the rest of Team Avatar.
This sends bad vibes to the Heroes, now that Prince Zuko has a way to track down the Avatar.
Besides seeing this moment as a bad thing. The Pro Heroes and some students were very interested in the Shirshu. Seeing that the animal is a double-edged sword. They can see that the animal can be used for Heroics too. To locate villains with their scents and paralyze them with their venom.
07:43 - 08:18
The scene shifted back to Team Avatar and Bato.
The Audience heard good news from Bato, that Hakoda was planning to send a message to him. Not just any letter, but the location of their rendezvous point.
The students and Kota smiled to hear the great news, and they were very happy for Sokka and Katara, two years of not seeing each other. Their reuniting as a family would be so awesome.
"I'm so happy that Katara and Sokka are going to meet their dad again," Ochaco said happy for the siblings. "I don't know what I would feel if one or both of my parents were enlisted to fight the war and be gone for two years or more. I would worry for them and cry every night wishing that they'll be alright and safe."
Ochaco's words have touched all the students' hearts. Their worries about their enlisted parents being at war would be a horrible thought. They don't know what Katara and Sokka went through emotionally while their father fought for their nation.
The same can be said with other kids back in their world fighting for their nation as soldiers.
Izuku believes that what Katara and Sokka felt is the same feeling that his mother would go through every single day when he was out there as Deku during work studies.
Katara and Sokka were grateful for the news about their dad's letter. Aang left the room and he looked down.
'Aang, aren't you happy for your friends?' Kosei frowned. He noticed that Aang was feeling blue the whole time with Bato. Feeling like the metaphorical third wheel, or was being ignored by his friends.
Now he notices the rest of his classmates from 1A, 1B, and his upperclassmen the big three have noticed Aang too.
Kosei does not want to say a word, not wanting to offend his idol. He believes that Aang can be insecure like any other teen. Now to think about it, the signs that he sees at Aang are quite normal. Kosei had to face his insecurities.
Aang might be the Avatar, but he is also human, a teenager. Besides fighting bad guys, he also has insecurities to fight.
He just hopes he doesn't do anything stupid.
Kosei knows he has down a lot of stupid shit.
08:18 - 08:37
A moment of bliss happened just at the moment that Aang left the shelter.
The audience overheard what the siblings mentioned that as great the good news is about the letter that their father sent to Bato. Both Sokka and Katara believe that as much as they want to see their father again, the siblings must do so. They cannot stay for too long, they still have a journey to complete with The Avatar.
The majority of the audience understood the Water Tribe Sibling's choice. As much as they want to see their father, they also have a duty. Something that the siblings understood, was when Hakoda had to leave with the rest of the men of the Southern Tribe.
When the students understood, that even though they don't have family members who are enlisted or as Pro Heroes, they understood Sokka and Katara's choices by staying by Aang's side and helping him on their journey to the North Pole.
Kota Izumi on the other hand was a bit mixed.
He is no longer the same three-year-old who lost his parents from Muscular. He is now six and since the camp incident. He understood why his parents did what they did before they were killed. When he met the students from UA High. None of them understood what he was feeling, Midoriya might be the Hero who saved his life. However, Katara and Sokka know what it's like to have parents who were, warriors. Kota as much he is grateful to Midoriya for saving his life, but he looks up more to Sokka and Katara. Because in some way, they walk in the same shoes. They both know the pain and sadness that they went through. Not just Hakoda enlisting himself to fight the war, but they too lost their mommies from bad guys.
Kota wishes he could grow up as strong as a person like Sokka and Katara. The subject of Heroics is complicated, but he does want to grow up into a good man like Sokka.
Besides, understanding the Water tribe siblings' choice to stay by Aang's side, they question how the Avatar is doing.
08:37 - 08:42
The next scene shifted back to Aang, and it showed Aang's insecurities fearing that Sokka and Katara would leave him for his parents.
Many of the students frown at the misunderstanding.
"Aang no, you got it all wrong. Sokka and Katara won't ditch you for their dad." Kosei said in a caring voice.
"Is Aang that shallow, believing that his friends would leave him?" Tsuyu morbidly said.
08:42: - 08:55
The new scene played as a delivery man looking for Bato, and Aang took the letter.
The letter took their attention, what took their attention more, was the animal that the delivery man was riding on.
"Is that part Ostrict part Horse?" Aizawa questioned the beast that they all saw.
"An Ostrish-Horse?" Vlad King blinked slowly processing what he saw in his puny brain.
Izuku wrote down the animal in his notebook.
08:55 - 09:14
The audience learns what Aang got from the delivery man, wasn't just any letter, but the map and location of the rendezvous spot to meet up with Hakoda and the rest of the troops of the Southern Tribe.
"Wooza! This is very important news. Aang should deliver this to Bato. Bato must see this." Sen Kaibara said.
"It's interesting that men of the Southern Water Tribe do leave a man behind. Very different from those soldier movies. I assume that the injured man would end up being sent home?" Pony said recalling American movies and TV shows that have shown soldiers being sent home due to injury or that they die in duty. Unsure of real-life facts.
To the minds of the students. They do believe that the right thing to do is to give the map to Bato as soon as possible, and from their knowledge, this would even give a reason for Katara and Sokka to see their father even for a moment.
They believe that Aang would do the right thing, not because it's heroic or the duties of an Avatar, but because he is their friend. Sokka and Katara trusted him since they left the South Pole and all the challenges that happened during their journey together.
However, Aang didn't go with that route. Instead, he hid the map and continued to mope.
This moment shatters the student's trust in Aang.
This also shatters Kosei's trust in Aang.
'Aang, why did you do that?' Thought Kosei was saddened by the actions of his idol.
Itsuka was upset at Aang. 'Why would you do that? Kosei looks up to you, You're his hero, and you just broke his heart.' she thought feeling upset towards the actions of the Avatar.
Many of the students were upset too, including Fuyumi, Natsu, Kota, Melissa, and Spinner, were very upset at Aang's choice, but more can be discussed later.
09:14 - 09:34
The next scene shifted back to the Abbey.
Showing that Aang is trying to act normal, even trying to eat the delicious stew, but regrets trying it.
The audience sees that Aang isn't proud of hiding the letter from the eyes of Bato, Sokka, and Katara. It shows what he did wasn't right, or okay. He feels guilty and fears when the truth comes out, that his fear of losing his friends might come true.
The students understand Aang, and they don't belittle him for it.
True, his actions weren't heroic, or right.
After watching the Episode that had Jet and Zuko as the Blue Spirit. It opened their eyes, and they don't judge Aang and start calling him a bad guy.
Instead, they stayed patient for Aang, hoping he would do the right thing and confess about the letter.
'Please Aang, tell them about the letter.' Kosei thought hoping that his Hero would do the right thing.
09:34 - 09:59
The next scene shifted back to Zuko, showing his team heading up to meet the Herbalist from the time when Aang was captured by Admiral Zhao.
Once again, they met up with the cat, Miyuki.
"What the hell are you Miyuki!" Aizawa shouted unsure what kind of mix-animal Miyuki was.
09:59 - 10:23
The scene shifted back to Aang feeding Appa.
While doing so Mother Surpior caught Aang… littering.
'Even when the Nun caught Aang, he continued to hide the letter. I hope you do the right thing Aang.' Kosei prays that Aang does the right thing.
10:23 - 10:36
The scene shifted back to the Beach where Bato's boat at.
The boat has an interesting history, learning that Bato's father built it. That interest information was ruined when Aang got rid of the footprints of the Ostrich-Horse.
Tomura smiled in glee. He liked how the UA students reacted when they saw that The Avatar isn't the definition of Pure Good. That was a lesson that Tomura learned during a short period of his life looking for a Hero.
He remembers those cold and dirty times when he was in the streets after he killed his family, and before he met All For One.
He also recalls a time when he believed in heroes. When he was still the quirkless wonder, Tenko Shimura.
He doesn't know why, but during his fight with Re-Destro, he had a flashback during a time when he was innocent, young, and quirkless. He recalls that there was a time that he admired heroes, to the point that he would pretend to be one. His childhood friends even suggested that he should be The Symbol of Peace himself, All Might.
It was so much fun.
Until he was punished for pretending to be one, just because Daddy Dearest has mommy issues.
'What was it, you didn't have enough of tit milk, old man.'
Nah, he isn't to relive old memories. He is here to think about the pain that he suffered. It only took one bad day for his world to turn upside-down. Before he met All For One. Kids have these childhood beliefs. Santa Claus would give you a present under the Christmas tree if you were good, The Tooth Fairy will take the fallen baby tooth and give you money in exchange, and the biggest childhood belief there is in their society. That Pro Heroes are good and they'll save anyone needed saving.
To Tenko, that belief was the biggest bullshit that was ever drilled into the heads of little ones. To carry with them as they grow up and become grown-ups. Not everyone grew up being fed by a silver spoon, and warm homes. A lot of people starved, struggled, and suffered in a society that didn't care about people like Tenko. No one came to save him when he needed it.
There was no Pro Hero who saved him, but he did have a Fairy Godmother, in the form of a powerful villain.
During that time in the streets, he learned that Pro Heroes aren't the definition of Pure Good. Not even All Might, or the Avatar.
10:36 - 11:02
"Ice Dodging, what's that?" Kota asked unsure what that was.
The Audience too doesn't know what Ice Dodging is, they assume it's an activity within the tradition of the Southern Water Tribe, They're unsure if the word 'Activity' is even the right word to describe it.
Then Bato explained what ice Dodging is.
"Oh I see, so it's a right of passage for 14-year-old boys, based on their tradition and culture. It's not like one when getting their driver's license. The privilege is available anywhere. While Ice Dodging is more and only limited to the people of the Southern Water Tribe." Shishida, explain from the limited explanation that was given to them.
"I mean, I get it," Tetsutetsu said. "This is traditional to one's culture. It's like you said Shishida, Ice Dodging isn't like one who is getting their driver's license or Provisional hero license. Those two licenses aren't tied to one culture, unlike Ice Dodging which has a huge role in the culture and traditions of the Southern Water Tribe."
Many of the audience understood the cultural value of Ice Dodging to the Southen Water Tribe and its people. If they try it, it can be offensive. Though they do wish to see it, they feel bad that Sokka never had his Ice Dodging when he turned 14.
Unexpected smiles happened when Bato was planning to give Sokka his chance in Ice Dodging.
"Well, I'm fired up!" Kota said excited to see this traditional event of Ice Dodging.
11:02 - 11:19
The Scene shifted back with Zuko and his team. The teachers have a headache when the screen shows that they return to the village where Aunt Wu does her Fortunetelling.
Don't get them wrong, they like Aunt Wu, it was Melissa who they're worried about—knowing that the girl hates the previous episode.
Nemuri wasn't around when Melissa had her little rampage, she was in the washroom trying to get drunk. She doesn't know what her fellow teachers are worried about.
She spotted the girl trying to get herself free from Aizawa's scarf while she was trying to scream from the ball gag in her mouth.
Toga believes that this is a good time to mess with the Shield girl. "Yo Shield, one question." She giggles before letting out her joke. "Can your science explain why it rains?"
Just from Toga's little teasing, Melissa had enough and from her fury. She was able to get her mouth gag out. "Listen here you little, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP— The audience and Toga were shocked to hear the beeping noises from Melissa as she continued to swear. What caught them by surprise was that the casino censored Melissa's voice. They know she was swearing and continues to swear, They just wonder what she was saying.
Midnight used her quirk to put the blond to sleep having enough of her.
11:19 - 11:22
Many of the audience laughed when Shirshu tried to lick Zuko.
"Look, he likes you." Dabi laughed at this little scene.
11:22- 11:40
Before Zuko and his team left the village.
Aunt Wu asked Iroh if he wanted to hear his fortune.
He kindly declined and mentioned that around his age he knew there would be a big prediction ahead of him, he just wanted that prediction to be a secret and let it be a surprise.
Many in the audience understood what Iroh meant, and they too wanted that part to be left a secret too.
However, not everyone was lucky.
Both Midoriya and All Might know about Nighteye's prediction about All Might's death. The question is now, was it better that they don't know?
Knowing the knowledge about All Might's death only brings misfortune and anxiety. Too bad there was no Undo button
'If only Nighteye listened to me and did not use his quirk to see my death. Iroh is the lucky one, between him and me.'All Might thought.
11:40 - 11:59
The next scene is inside Bato's boat.
The audience listened to Bato and learned that Ice dodging in their culture is a ceremony that tests, Wisdom, Bravery, and Trust.
Shishida understood the whole explanation. "I see, it is Sokka's job to guide his team to safely, as they dodge the ice, or in this case the rocks on the shore."
Many of the students like this ceremony.
"That's so manly, and Aang can Appreciate the activity," Tetsutetsu said.
"I guess, as long as the 14-year-old boy of the Southern Water Tribe does the ceremonial Ice Dodging, they can choose who they're teammates are, even if one of their members is an outsider from the Southern Air Temple," Nirengenki said. "I guess our conversation early about Ice Dodging is right and wrong."
"We cannot have our own ceremony, but we can help the one having their own ceremony, by appreciating theirs and helping them with their boats," Neito said understanding the ceremony.
Vlad King and Aizawa listened to their students, and to Bato. They understand that Ice Dodging is a right passage for 14-year-olds. boys to guide their team to safety.
Their first thoughts were to have their own version of Ice Dodging for training. but learning that this is a cultural ceremony, it is better that they shouldn't.
Perhaps they can brainstorm to make a similar activity to build up teamwork, to build Wisdom, Bravery, and Trust.
11:59 - 12:14
The audience listened to Bato as he gave out their role.
"I understand their roles." Midnight explains what she learns from Bato. "This is Sokka's right of passage to guide his team to safety. In a way, he is the captain of this boat. it is his job to steer and guide them to safety. Katara has the role of making sure the main sail is safe. The winds are more brutal on the shore, unlike the land."
Aizawa continues for Midnight. "Aang also has a job to do too, he has to control the jib. Without his steady hand, they can go down and sink."
Vlad Notices the roles of their job. "Sokka has to make wise decisions In what direction to go, he is the captain, While Katara has to be brave knowing the winds are brutal and unkind. While Aang is given the role of Trust."
Trust is a strong word with a strong meaning, and after Aang's actions, the word trust felt fragile.
12:14 - 12:24
Speaking of fragile. Aang's reaction towards the word trust.
'Aang is cracking, and I think he is about to burst. This isn't a matter of if, but a matter of when, and when it does burst. It isn't going to be pretty.' Kosei Thought, feeling upset about what Aang did.
He knows Katara and Sokka would react, and he believes they'll be angry and upset. A part of him wants to defend Aang, but Aang has to learn a lesson.
He isn't going to like it, but it has to happen, cause how else would he learn his lesson?
12:24 - 12:29
"That I can agree with," Aizawa said agreeing with Bato. It all depends on their actions now, if Team Avatar Pass or Fail in this ceremony of Ice Dodging.
12:29 - 12:50
"So far, so good, I say." Midnight complimenting Team Avatar at the first part of the Ice Dodging. She and the Teachers are impressed at Sokka's leadership, not just from the Ice Dodging but since the start of their journey.
They see that Sokka has been a genius since the start of their journey. They all even agree that Sokka is smarter than Yaoyarozu in the teams of battle strategies and making plans on the fly. Even Yaoyarozu herself admits that Sokka is smarter than her in that area. She might be Book Smart and can get higher grades than the other students of 1A, but when it comes to a desperate moment within the depts of Battle is where it lacks.
It is not the same as quirk training, learning the inside and out of the stuff she creates, or preparing themselves in training exercises. On the Battlefield second-guessing their decision could affect the situation either in their favor or in the results of their own demise.
What makes her different from Sokka, is that the boy didn't get the special training like from her mentors, or the Hero Course students have the privilege of practicing their skills. He doesn't have a quirk or bending. Yet he is a skilled warrior. This is his first time to have ice dodging, and it's not even over yet.
Yaoyarozu knows where she lacks, but she admits that Sokka is in higher leagues than him.
Even if he can be a goofball from time to time.
12:50 - 13:05
The ice dodging continues as Sokka gives out orders to Aang, not none of the audience knows what he means.
Aang, helm to lee, Helm to lee!
However, Tsuyu remembers during her internship. "You guys, Helm to lee, means 'turn the boat so it goes with the wind'. That sentence and its meaning it's something I learned from Captain Selkie. Ribbit."
The audience just Aww at Asui's explanation, making things a lot more sense.
It made a lot of sense that Aang was able to turn the sail towards the wind.
"That's so hot," Fumikage said impressed at Tsuyu.
13:05 - 13:43
Nearing the end of Ice Dodging. The situation went south when Team Avatar saw that rocks were blocking their way. The students understand that if the boat hits those rocks, there is no telling how would they survive.
However, Sokka has a solution to this problem. Seeing the problem more as an opportunity. Something that none of the men ever did during their Ice Dodging since the Fire Nation took their Waterbenders since Kana was a young Woman.
Ice Dodging with the power of Bending, with the Waterbending of Katara, and the Airbending of Aang.
The students were on the edge of their seats their feet shaking from excitement as the water rose, and Aang bends more air onto the sail. Once it's done they all cheered that Sokka and Team Avatar passed the Ice Dodging ceremony.
"Wooh, They did it, that's the power of bending!" Kota cheered liking the whole enter event."
Yayaorozu does not want to be bitter. She was happy that Sokka passed Ice Dodging, and once again. His plans worked in his favor and he was able to create a plan in a drop of a hat.
If she was put in a similar situation, as a right of privilege. She probably had to make a plan ahead before the day of the ceremony. Including choosing two other people who would be her partners. In her defense, she would most likely go with Ochaco Uraraka for her Zero Gravity Quirk, and Reiko Yanagi for her Portergeist Quirk.
Then again, the reality is, that she would have her team and herself train before taking the test in the hopes of passing. While Sokka didn't even need to prepare, Ice Dodging was never part of their plan. It was just a spontaneous decision made by Bato out of the blue.
There was no need to prepare, no need to train. He didn't even need to team up and pick his perfect team. The Avatar and his Sister were the only ones available, and they passed with flying colors.
She wonders why can't she be Spontaneous, or think of a plan without overthinking things.
"Fuck." She mutters under her breath, never thought she would ever use such a word. No one heard her, but one.
Yosetsu noticed that Yayaorozu was frustrated towards a moment of celebration. He is curious to ask why.
13:43 - 13:53
It was a moment of celebration as Team Avatar is branded with a mark on their foreheads.
For Sokka the Mark of the Wise.
The same Mark that his Father earned.
There were many smiles that Sokka had the same make as his father had.
"Sokka deserves it he earned that mark, and his wisdom showed since he left the Southern Water Tribe." Shoto said happy for Sokka.
13:53 - 13:59
For Katara the Mark of the Brave.
Your Courage inspired us.
"Hell yeah! You go girl!" Mina Cheered for Katara.
"She inspired all of us young Women, Empowerment!" Kyoka cheered showing off her Kyoshi Warrior war paint proudly. "The White that I wore on my face stood for treachery, suspicion, and the readiness to visit 'evil deeds', The Red is for honor, loyalty, and heroism, the red is the trust we have for each other, buried in the field of white, but always showing through our gaze" quoting what the war paint stands for at this moment of girl power.
13:59 - 14:20
Bato marked Aang's forehead with the symbol that stands for Trust, and he welcomed him to be a member of the Southern Water Tribe.
Bato, Sokka, and Katara believed that Aang was trustworthy and that he had every right to earn the mark on his forehead. After the trail of Ice dodging, and everything they have been through since starting their journey.
Hearing all those words hurt Aang emotionally, he didn't feel proud, he felt shame, due to his little secret that he finally revealed to the group.
The students took a deep breath, knowing how their siblings would react.
14:20 - 14:48
The moment of truth has arrived and it wasn't pretty.
The audience watched as Sokka yelled at Aang, and The Avatar's fears had come true. Aang is going to the Northern Water Tribe without his friends.
Katara was upset too, but she wasn't furious like her brother, but her tone says that she was upset.
The students just watched as it went, they knew that Aang betrayed his friends by hiding the map behind their backs. A part of them wanted to defend Aang, but they believed that Aang needed to learn this lesson. They broke their trust, and he has to face the consequences of his actions.
'You hurt me too Aang, I'm upset too, you're my hero, and you betrayed your friends… I need time alone.' Kosei thought.
Kosei looked up to Aang from the start, like how Midoriya looked up to All Might. This moment showed that Heroes and Avatar like Aang, are only human too, that they can make mistakes too. They're not the definition of pure good or perfect, but rather their human.
14:48 - 15:08
"So, that's just it. This is their goodbye." Ochaco said watching that Katara and Sokka are going with Bato. Breaking Team Avatar. She is upset too, Aang was hiding a piece of information that would lead to the location of Hakoda. In all honestly, if she was in Katara's shoes, she would be upset too, if any of her friends hid the location of her parents.
15:08 - 15:24
I'm an idiot, Momo.
"No, you're not. You're only human." Kosei finally spoke up. "You might be the Avatar, but you're only human, as much as me and you… The same can be said with the Pro Heroes within this room. Eraserhead, Midnight, Vlad King, and All Might might be our protectors, but I'm sure they did stupid shit behind closed doors. Mistakes will make us feel small and bring us down, but we always get ourselves up, and learn from our mistakes."
"I believe you can still make things right. I still believe in you Aang, it's just I'm not going to see you as the definition of Pure Good, or Perfect. You're only human, just like me." He said with a smile.
The students liked what Kosei said, and he was right.
Behind closed doors, and in their private moments. They have done stupid shit, that ends up becoming mistakes, and they end up learning from their mistakes too.
They are also starting to see that the Pro Heroes that they know may have made mistakes before because just like them, they were students too once upon a time. They know that once they graduate, they're not going to be the definition of Pure Good, or Perfect.
The same can be said with Izuku. All Might was never perfect, and the expectation of his expectations wasn't realistic. Izuku even 10 or 20 years from now will eventually make mistakes once in a while.
That's okay, he can always learn from it, and grow.
"I still believe in you Aang," Izuku said not just to Aang, but to himself.
15:24 - 15:46
The scene shifted back with Zuko and his group, reaching the Abbey.
They recall Zuko is after the Avatar, of course, that part hasn't changed. However, the Shirshu isn't drawn to his scent, it draws to the scent towards the girl who wore the necklace.
That widened the eyes of Midoriya. "Holy shit, the Shirshu is after Katara, not Aang."
"But they split, wouldn't the Shirshu be after Aang?!" Ochaco asked, scared for the Water Tribe siblings knowing what the Shirshu could do with his tongue.
"I'm afraid it doesn't work that way Uraraka, the Shirshu is a blind creature that sees the world by scent. It will continue to follow the scent of Katara. She is the beast's objective."
"And the mission isn't completed yet," Tomura said interrupting Iida, "Well, things are getting spicy for the pepper. I wonder how the siblings can handle themselves now that the Shirsu is hunting them, not The Avatar."
Tomura is right, Bato isn't in the physical shape to defend the siblings yet, alone himself. They'll be facing a Bounty Hunter, The Banish Prince, and The Shirshu.
15:46 - 16:41
The next scene is the whole segment with Bato.
It started with a cry from a sad wolf.
The Students listen to Bato empathizing with the wolf, saying that he understands that the wolf was separated from his pack. The same can be said with Bato being separated from the rest of the men.
The students understood what he meant, However, Aizawa understood it too.
He sees that the wolf within the story is Oboro Shirakumo. In a way, he was separated from the pack… unlike that wolf, Oboro never reunited with his pack.
Then Sokka empathizes with the Wolf too. He and Katara were separated from their father, never knowing if they would ever see each other again.
Thanks to Bato, and to Aang for them by leaving the Southern Water Tribe. It gave them hope that they could reunite with Hakoda once again.
Then Sokka said something that the Students thought that they'd never heard from Sokka and Katara since they learned about Aang's secret.
"So both Brother and Sister forgave Aang," Neito said happy that the two forgave The Avatar.
"I know what Aang did was not cool, or 'not manly' as Tetsutetsu would say. But not forgiving him and not giving him a second chance is a lot worse." Kosei said.
"I have to admit, saying sorry, and learning to forgive is not always easy, but it is something we learn and grow. Learning about Apology and Forgiveness is very important to our growth." Itsuka said and the others agreed.
Even Kota understood. He is only 6 years old and lives outside the city. He wouldn't meet kids around his age. Learning to apologize or learning to forgive would be different. Experiencing both subjects is more effective than reading the definitions on a book, or the internet.
Kota is young and has plenty of time to learn, For Someone like Katsuki Bakugo. The idea of Apologizing, and Forgiveness is very foreign to him. Especially we're talking about someone who has a huge ego and was never scolded towards his treatment of Midoriya.
Seeing this not just open his eyes, but his mind and heart too.
The only question is, would he have to courage to apologize?
Bravery and Courage aren't the same.
16:41 - 17:03
The Next Scene showed that Aang was about to leave and about to start his new journey, alone.
It wasn't until Mother Superior came to warn about Zuko that he reached the Abbey. She even warned him about the beast that was hunting the person who matched the scent of the Necklace.
Aang understood who his target was.
Katara!
"Aang, please save your friends from Zuko and the beautiful, hot, gorgeous June!" Sen said many of the ladies raised an eyebrow when he mentioned the adjectives that describe June.
17:03 - 17:36
The next scene shows that the Shirshu paralyzes both of the Water Tribe Siblings.
Though there were some raised eyebrows that June still calls the Water Tribe girl Zuko's Girlfriend.
"Do you guys think it may had to do with Katara's necklace?" Toga asked her fellow ex-Leagues.
"Maybe, perhaps just like Ice Dodging, her necklace might carry some Southern Water Tribe cultural meaning, it could mean Zuko is courting Katara, hence why June thinks that Katara is Zuko's girlfriend?" Mr. Compress said. "Or, perhaps it's a sign of a wedding proposal like the necklace is the equivalent of an engagement ring. However, I don't find it's valuable to steal, unlike a Diamond ring. That would at least give me the value of a thousand dollars at least."
Theories about the necklace are put on hold, it's not like they'll get the answer in this episode.
17:36 - 17:48
The next scene was a small one. The Shirshu found a scent that would track the Avatar.
"Got his scent you fantastic beast, now hunt Avatar down like prey!" Tomura cheered.
17:48 - 18:13
"The Shirshu is returned to the Abbey, but should it rather go to the Beach?" Toga questions the scene wondering why the Shirshu had gone to the Abbey.
"Unless The Avatar is at the Abbey!" As soon as Dabi said that the Avatar appeared above them. The Shirshu tried to lick The Avatar, but her balance knocked her over, including the people riding her.
(I want to Apologize, I just recall that the Shirshu that June owns is female, not male. I apologize if I used He/His/Him Pronounce.)
18:13 - 18:25
June and her Shirshu tried attacking the Avatar, but Appa attacked back!
"Yeah, Go Appa!" Ochaco cheered for the Flying Bison.
However, not everyone is excited about Animal Versus Animal. "I don't know, I feel mixed about this fight with Appa and the Shirshu," Tsuyu said. "Then again, it is natural for animals to fight, like two lions fighting. I guess, as long as we're not betting on it like it's a cock fight, I think it's alright."
18:25 - 18:29
Eyes widened showing that Aang and Zuko met again face to face.
To Dabi, his internal struggle with Toya has come back to shine, because the last time the two met each other. Aang offered a hand of friendship with Zuko after he rescued the Avatar as the Blue Spirit.
He isn't the only one surprised to see the two, but this time. Zuko isn't the Blue Spirit.
Rather the Banish Prince, with a mission to capture the Avatar to restore his honor.
"Last time when they met, Aang offered Zuko Friendship, but now, It's back to business," Tomura said.
Dabi heard his former leader, even with his inner struggle with Toya. That can pause for now. In a way, he has a point Back to Business. Just like Zuko, they have a mission to do. Zuko is to capture the Avatar, and Dabi still has a mission to kill Enji.
18:25 - 18:47
The fight started.
It started with Zuko on offense trying to attack The Avatar with his Firebending.
Both Shoto and Kosei watch the fight closely. Just like their first fight within Zuko's ship back in the Southern Water Tribe.
With their training during the break, they truly wondered who would out best with whom now.
In the end, Zuko and Aang created an explosion using Air and Fire.
"Dang, that's some explosion!" Denki said, surprised at the explosion.
"Hey, Todoroki, and Tsuburaba. I was wondering if you two can create an explosion by only using your quirks?" Izuku asked them.
The two boys thought about it. It was demonstrated on screen but with Kosei's solid air quirk. Recreating the explosion would be better with a different air quirk user.
Then again, explosions aren't new to them, knowing Bakugo and his quirk.
It's not like this world has someone who can create explosions by bending.
Katsuki felt a cold chill at the back of his spine. He feels like someone is going to outshine Bakugo in the contest of making explosions.
Not in Book Water, but in Book Fire, and later with P'Li
18:47 -19:11
The next scene returns the fight between Appa and Shirshu. It showed even though Appa can fly, it doesn't mean Appa is poison-proof. Showing that the Shirshu's venom is working against Appa.
"Oh no, Appa, please get up." Kota cried for the Flying Bison.
19:11 - 19:33
Appa did get up, but he was fighting alone.
"No fair, that is two against one!" Kota said, seeing that June is fighting back.
"She's so hot," Sero said as his peers are giving him disapproval looks. "I mean, oh no… Go Appa!"
19:33 - 19:52
The Fight with Aang and Zuko continued. The students continued to cheered seeing that Zuko was losing.
The Cheering stopped as the Shirshu decided to attack the Avatar.
"That's so not fair!"
'Uraraka has a point, just one lick from the Shirshu. The Avatar would be paralyzed.' Aizawa thought, hoping that the Avatar would be careful.
19:52 - 20:01
Appa went to help Aang by Airbending, however, the debris landed on Sokka.
and Only Sokka.
Dabi laughs out loud after seeing Sokka's misfortune. "That never gets old."
Izuku seeing that Appa created the gust of wind, is curious if Flying Bisons are Airbenders. Gave out a theory about Animals as Benders.
"Thank you, Appa for giving me that theory," Izuku said, getting his eyes ready to see any animals who are benders.
20:01 - 20:15
As the Shirshu is chasing Aang like a mouse. The screen shifted to Iroh stealing cologne.
The villains smiled seeing the goofy and loveable uncle stealing cologne.
"Him stealing Cologne was cute and adorable," Stain said. snorting a small laugh.
"Heck, I would have done it too. Do you have any idea how much cologne costs? They're reaching 200 dollars, I don't have that kind of money!" Mr. Compress said complaining about the price of cologne.
20:15 - 20:23
Zuko and Aang's fight continues as they reach a nearby Well. Until Aang spotted something that belonged to Katara that was been with Zuko since the Earthbender Prison at Haru's village.
"It's Katara's necklace, Aang this is your chance to take it back!" Mina cheered for the Avatar.
20:23 - 20:55
Their fight at the Well continues.
The audience watches Aang demonstrating an example of using the environment around him to his advantage. See that Aang was using the Well's pillars to dodge Zuko's attacks.
However, The Banished Prince was able to break the pillar, ending up with both boys standing on the edges of the Well.
"It is amazing how they were able to adapt their fighting styles based on the platforms that they're standing on." Midnight said seeing that Aang attended to move around. Like a leaf in the wind.
"Zuko's adaptability is amazing too. Very different from his fight with another Firebender like Admiral Zhao, or when he wore the mask of The Blue Spirit, and that's without Firebending." Aizawa said.
"Besides that Aizawa, Aang is the Avatar, he has to shift towards other methods based on the four elements. I don't think Aang has to forever ally himself with Airbending. Just imagine when he is a fully realized Avatar." Vlad King said, just at the right moment when Aang used Waterbending to attack. "See what I mean, and that just from learning Waterbending from a scroll. Imagine his potential once he Masters the other three Elements."
"Boys, don't forget about the glow, we have only seen it a couple of times, but the Glow does give the Avatar a boost of power, and we don't even know the proper name of the Glow."
Midnight was right, even though the proper name of the ability isn't important at the moment. Aang has a lot of ways to go before he is a fully realized Avatar.
In the end, he got the necklace back from Zuko.
20:55 - 21:18
"Appa, no!" Kota cried out loud seeing that the Flying Bison was licked by the Shirshu not once, not twice, but three times, with his venomous tongue. Causing the little boy to cry not wanting to see Appa hurt.
Midoriya goes to comfort Kota, and as he does he wonders what would Team Avatar do to stop the Shirshu.
21:18 - 21:24
"Geez, that is a strong perfume. It helped with the paralysis." Midnight said impressed at the product. "That is a very effective way to use aromatherapy."
21:24 - 21:27
After recovering from the paralysis, Sokka was able to analyze the Shirshu from its strengths and its obvious weaknesses.
It's lack of sight.
"That's right!" Neito agrees with Mother Superior. "Now, they just need a way for the Shirshu to try out some free samples, Rose, Lemon Grass, or even Jasmine suits this beast with such other fragrances."
21:27 - 22:08
"Or why not all of them!" Neito cheered seeing The nuns gather all of their perfumes and seeing Katara using Waterbending to shower the Shirshu with many fragrances. "Now my dear, don't you smell good, as a peach on a summer day." he mocked the beast showing that perfumes are making the beast go out of control.
Even ending up paralyzing both Iroh and June in the process.
Ending the fight.
22:08 - 22:19
Uncle, I didn't see you get hit by the Tongue.
Many of the boys laughed seeing that Iroh was faking being paralyzed in order to cuddle with June, until the venom ran out.
Many of the boys who were attracted to June felt jealous of Iroh and said that he was lucky. Thankfully It was only Yosetsu and Kosei who were karate-chopped by Yayaorozu, and Kendo.
22:19 - 22:37
The next scene showed that Team Avatar was reunited and that their heading to the Northern Water Tribe.
The students were happy with what Sokka said to Aang, that so much they want to see their dad, Aang is family too.
Seeing that Sokka doesn't hold any grudges and he fully forgave Aang.
"Aww, friends again, that so sweet!" Mina cheered liking that their friends again.
22:37 - 23:05 (Last Scene of the chapter.)
The students cheered at the last scene.
This shows that Aang gave back Katara's necklace that Zuko had stolen from her a couple of episodes back.
Many of the girls awwed when Katara gave a kiss on Aang's cheek.
This episode the audience learned a lot. About the Southern Water Tribe and their culture.
About family and family members who are enlisted to fight the battlefields of war.
Including hard lessons such as Aplogizing and Forgiveness.
To some, the last lesson was more of a reminder, but to Kota Izumi and Katsuki Bakugo, it was a new lesson. That truly not just opened their eyes, but their hearts as well.
Maybe even a step for Katsuki has to take.
