Chapter 9: Not Exactly A Day At Universal Studios
Fairy Heroes Academia 9
Not Exactly A Day At Universal Studios Japan
Lucy frowned at the villains beginning their advance. Taking a step forward, she prepared to change her outfit to attack. Todoroki, however, extended his arm forward, stopping her in her tracks, "Hold on." Placing his other hand forward, he froze all of the villains in their tracks.
"Subduing the villains before it escalates further." Todoroki said, "The battle against the class rep reminded me of that." He told Lucy before turning back to the villains. "So the plan was to scatter us, then kill us. You were woefully unprepared."
Taking in their appearance, it seemed like they all didn't even try to struggle against the ice, "In fact, it looks to me as though you've had no training. You haven't the slightest idea how to use your Quirks." He took a couple of steps forward toward the villains.
"This power…" One of the frozen thugs muttered, "He froze us the instant we warped here."
"He's not a kid, he's a monster!" Another villain yelled.
"So cold…" Yet another groaned.
"We don't even have to fight?" Lucy said as they walked past the frozen thugs, "Alright! Nice job Todoroki!"
Todoroki walked silently as he mulled over the past events, the villain with the hands all over him particularly, 'How do they plan to kill All Might? At first, I thought they gathered a force of elite criminals who could simply overpower him.'
He brought his foot down freezing the ground in front of him, causing a villain to quite literally freeze in his tracks. With a glow, now donned in her Taurus outfit Lucy caught a spear handled by a bird-like villain, swinging him along with the spear to the floor, and activated her magic, "Earth Wave!" The ground burst as the villain and spear hit the floor, damaging any more oncoming villains.
Todoroki was pulled out of his thoughts as he studied the damage the blonde girl could do. Shaking his head he focused, "Most of these villains are low-level thugs. Just pawns." He informed Lucy, who nodded.
"Yeah, this didn't seem like a well-calculated attack." Lucy agreed as the villains groaned in defeat.
"From what I can tell, there are only four or five truly dangerous people here." The icyhot teen stated. "If that's the case then what we need right now is more information."
Lucy nodded in agreement, having deduced that earlier, "I was thinking the same thing."
Todoroki turned to the villains, "If you stay frozen your cells will slowly die as your body succumbs to frostbite and hypothermia." The thugs grew fearful, as they struggled to breathe from fear and the cold. Lucy gasped slightly at the boy's slight threat.
"Luckily for you, I wanna be a hero. So I'd like to avoid any unnecessary cruelty." A villain teared up as Todorki placed his right hand over his face, frost dancing along his palm. "But I can only do that if you tell me how you plan to kill All Might. That's the only way you'll survive."
Lucy shivered, suddenly feeling much colder than before as she gazed at her companion. 'If he's serious, then he's kinda scary…" She shifted her attention to the villain reinforcements who began circling them. 'They're trying to be scarier though!"
. . .
Shoji's extra appendages extended as he listened around the facility. The remaining members of the class who hadn't been teleported away were gathered nearby. This included Thirteen, Mina, Uraraka, Sero, Shoji, and Iida.
"Shoji." Iida called, "Got them? Anything? Where is everyone?" He calmly asked, his gaze locked on Kurogiri.
"They've been scattered across the facility." Shoji replied, listening around with an extended ear, "But our classmates are still here."
The other students sighed in relief at the good news. "But what do we do?" Sero asked, as they all refocused on Kurogiri, "The guy's not affected by physical attacks and can apparently teleport stuff?" He noted.
Thirteen looked down as she weighed her options, "Tenya Iida." She firmly called.
"Yes?" Iida responded.
"I have a job for you. Run to the school and tell the faculty what's going on here." She ordered, surprising Iida. "The alarms aren't sounding, and our phones and radios are useless right now. One of these villains must be to blame."
"Even though Eraser Head is canceling people's Quirks left and right, we're still completely sealed off from the outside world." Thirteen informed, "Likely, whoever is causing this interference hid as soon as they warped into the USJ. They could be anywhere. Impossible to hunt down."
Thirteen turned to Iida, "It'll be faster for you to run and get help than for us to find whoever's jamming everything." Using her years worth of experience, she decided that this would be the better course of action. The area was too big for them to possibly find one person, not to mention they had no idea what this individual looked like, or what they could do.
"Yes, but-" Iida stepped forward to argue, not for his sake but for everyone else's, "It would be disgraceful for me to leave you all behind."
"It's okay, Iida!" Mina stepped forward, "There are probably tons of alarms outside, and that's why they kept us all trapped here in USJ. Lucy trusted you to be in our student council, so I'll put my trust in you too!" The pinkette declared.
Sero took a step forward as well, standing alongside her, "As long as you can get outside, they won't follow. Blow this bastard mist away with those Engine Legs!"
"Use your Quirk to save others." Thirteen urged, "Be a real hero!"
Shoji stepped up too, no words needed to voice his support.
"We can win this!" Uraraka piped up behind him, causing him to turn his head towards her in shock, "I know you can get through and find someone to help us out, Iida! Please, just try to do it!"
Iida faced forward, their combined words reaching him, his face became determined as his thrusters popped out, he got into his running position, preparing to take off…
"Even if this is your only option, are you really foolish enough to strategize in front of your enemy?" Kurogiri's deep voice menacingly questioned, his Quirk making his misty body expand.
"It won't matter if you know what we're planning or not when I'm done with you!" Thirteen pointed her finger at him, a cap coming off with a hiss as the force sucked in everything in Thirteen's vicinity, especially Kurogiri's Mist. "Black Hole!"
. . .
In the teacher's lounge at UA, skinny All Might sat trying to reach Thirteen or Aizawa, trying to check in to see how things were going after having missed the lesson from overexerting himself stopping crime earlier in the day.
"The number you have dialed is not in service, or has been temporarily disconnected. Please check the number and then try again. Thank you."
The automated message ended and All Might sighed, "Can't get through to Thirteen or Aizawa. Then again they are teaching. Unlike me." He mumbled, "I'm neglecting my teaching duties because I spent the entire morning commute being heroic. An amateur move. What was I thinking?" He lamented.
"Maybe I should just show up and say something inspiring at the end." All Might suggested to himself, "Yeah, get a good ten minutes out of my hero form." He stomped his foot determined, his power activating and making him buff once more.
"TIME TO JOIN MY STUDENTS-" Blood spewed from between his teeth as he pushed himself.
"Hold your horses!" Nezu called as he opened the door, Recovery Girl trailing behind him.
"Hello, Nezu, sir! Chiyo!" All Might Greeted, wiping the blood away.
"That's me! The one who could be a mouse, or a dog, or a bear, though the only important thing is… I'm the principal!" The scarred animal spoke happily.
"Your fur looks especially well-groomed and glossy today, sir." All Might complimented.
"The secret is Keratin." Nezu replied, "I'm not sure that humans can get this kind of lustrous shine. But we can talk about grooming later." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a tablet.
A news article was displayed across the screen, 'All Might Resolves Three Incidents in Only One Hour!'
"Look at the news. Shall I read it to you? It says you resolved three incidents in just one hour!" Nezu practically said in one breath.
Shuzenji glared at All Might, "Haven't I told you not to be pushing your body too far?" She said sternly, not really angry, more like concerned.
Nezu sighed, he knew it wasn't All Might's foible completely, "The fault mainly belongs to the ruffians who still cause trouble in this city despite you being here." He turned to All Might, "But you also have to learn not to react every time you hear of an incident."
The shorter pair both looked at the muscular man who sat with his hands on his knees. "You haven't changed in all these years. You've always been proactive. Only now your heroism must be limited to your injury."
Nezu began pacing, "Plus, you've also got the added work of training One For All's successor. You insist on remaining the Symbol of Peace, and the only way you can justify staying out of the spotlight is by teaching." He turned back to All Might, who had begun steaming from holding his form, "That's why I gave you this job."
"Oh dear you're smoking, that can't be good." Nezu commented as All Might transformed back into Toshinori. "I told you that you need to rest when you can." Shuzenji sighed, "I'm glad you're helping people, but it's counterproductive to your health."
"It looks like you need to stay here in the lounge and relax a little while longer." Nezu hopped up on the couch parallel to Toshinori and sat down. "The other teachers will understand. They're more than capable."
"But now that you are a teacher here, All Might, I really do wish you'd prioritize your students over your hero work. They deserve it." Nezu slightly chastised the man. "After all, there are plenty of hero agencies working throughout the city."
"Yeah, you're right, principal." All Might relented. "So, I was gonna head over to the USJ to make an appearance now actually, if you don't mind."
"Even if you went now, you would have to return right away." Recovery Girl informed, and Nezu decided that this conversation would warrant some tea and urged some into a cup.
"You might as well stick around and we can have a discussion." Nezu pushed the cup of tea towards All Might, "Here, drink up."
"We wanted to discuss two of your students." Nezu said as he sipped some tea, "Lucy Heartfilia and Levy McGarden." All Might's eyes widened slightly, not expecting that. 'I'm concerned that I couldn't reach Thirteen or Aizawa, but this is my chance to get some information.' All Might thought to himself as he listened to what they had to say.
"Earlier I received permission to inform you two of a secret." Recovery Girl spoke, grabbing her own cup of tea, "Those girls do not have amnesia." She revealed, "While it is true they are foreign to Japan, they do not have records of ever existing."
Nezu and All Might were both at a loss for words so Shuzenji just decided to continue, "We decided it was best if they said that they have amnesia because the truth is far more preposterous."
She sipped her tea before continuing, taking a steady breath, "They are from a different world and don't have Quirks at all." She sipped her tea once more, "This is good, where did you buy this?"
"A-a different world?" All Might spit out his tea. Nezu rubbed at his chin thoughtfully, "Another world? No Quirk? If this is true then this opens up many questions." The small principal stated.
He turned to the nurse, who had sat down beside him on the couch, "I take it all their paperwork is forged and this is why you took them in?" Nezu queried. Recovery Girl nodded, "They really are good girls… They deserved the chance to prove themselves."
"If they don't have Quirks, how do you explain their abilities?" All Might asked.
"Magic!" Recovery Girl waved her arms in the air. "Seriously. It really is magic. They say there's a mass quantity in the air that's underused." She informed the two. "We kept it all a secret to avoid trouble."
Nezu nodded, "Having been experimented on for being different, I can certainly sympathize with the girls. If this gets out though…" He trailed, with Shuzenji nodding grimly.
"I'm well aware, with everything going on, the best course of action was to let you two in on it." She explained, "If their secret was found out… I would rather not think about what would happen right now."
The two nodded in understanding. They sat silently as they let the conversation and tea settle in their heads and stomachs if they had one. They had plenty to talk about, but where could they even begin now? "Good tea." All Might pointed out as he drank from his cup.
. . .
Midoriya stood on a yacht with Mineta and Tsu, staring intensely at the water and the villains before him. They had been stranded in the shipwreck zone, which was flooded with water, and many of the villains had been idly watching them.
Midoriya was first sent directly into the water, luckily he was saved by the frog girl, who proved her prowess in underwater combat. Unfortunately, they were outnumbered, so they decided to regroup on the boat. And that brings us to the present with Mineta crying waterfalls.
"Uh, what do you mean "fight"? Are you crazy?! These guys might be able to kill ALL MIGHT!" He hysterically cried, "And you think we can take them?! Did you hit your head when we got warped here?! The best plan is for us to just wait for a real pro from UA to come save us!" He stomped his feet as he cried.
"Think about it." Midoriya said, "Those villains down there clearly have an advantage in the water, and assume that's where we'll fight." He analyzed the scene, with many of the villains they were facing camping out in the water, their Quirks well suited to the are.
"Are you even listening?!" Mineta cried out.
"If that's the case, they must've known what was inside the USJ before they warped in." Tsu assessed.
Midoriya nodded, "Yeah, but for a group with such careful planning, there's one thing that really sticks out to me, something that just doesn't add up." He turned to Tsu, "They sent you here, Asui-"
She turned to him and he blushed, "Uh-" "Ribbit."
"Um- Whoops! I meant Tsu!" He corrected quickly, "Yeah, they warped you to the shipwreck zone." He nervously shook, hoping he didn't offend her and having the added trouble using a nickname for a girl, he was a mess.
"That kinda fell apart on you, didn't it?" She said calmly as Midoriya sighed, easing up a tad more.
"A little bit."
"But why does it matter that she's here?!" Mineta needed to know at this point, this chatter was not getting them anywhere.
"Yeah, okay, right." Midoriya said as he focused once more, "It means the villains probably have no idea what our Quirks are!"
"Uh, ribbit." Tsu mulled it over, "You've got a point." She turned to a zone with flames painted around the dome enclosing it, "If they knew I was a frog, they would've sent me into that fire zone over there instead of somewhere full of water."
The trio looked back at the villains, "They probably separated us because they didn't know what we could do, and planned to overpower us once we were in smaller groups." Midoriya mentioned, "Easier to pick us off one by one."
The green-haired teen continued, "We can use that to our advantage. They don't know what our Quirks are. So for all they know, the three of us could be super powerful." He suggested.
"Look," They all studied the still swimming villains, "None of them are trying to climb into the boat. That proves they're a little unsure. But that means they're not going to underestimate us, either. They're being smart and playing it safe. For now…"
"So, let's talk Quirks." Tsu suggested, "I'll go first if you want. Obviously, I can jump high and cling to pretty much any wall. And of course, there's my tongue. I can stick it out for about 20 meters."
Mineta's nose bled as he imagined it, Tsu noticed the look on his face and frowned slightly, "Oh yeah, and I can spit out my stomach so I can clean it."
Mineta wiped the blood from his nose, only very slightly less interested, but still very interested. The frog girl continued, "Finally, I also secrete a toxic mucus. It just stings a bit."
That brought a blush to Mineta's face, 'Secrete mucus…'The pair ignored him while continuing a civil conversation.
"We can probably only use my jumping and my tongue here."
"Mucus…." Mineta shuddered in delight.
"Forget about the last things." Tsu waved off.
Midoriya spoke up, "I figured you were powerful but that's crazy." He was in awe of this girl's abilities, enrolled at a school like UA... She would be a Pro in no time, not to mention the number of people who would be interested in a Frog themed Hero as cute as her, which he meant in a completely friendly way.
"I have my super strength, I've been working hard to gain control over it, but if I throw too much power into it, then it comes at a price." Midoriya informed, "I could pretty much put myself out of commission."
"Oh yeah, I remember you doing pretty good with Bakugo until you unleashed that final attack and hurt yourself. Ribbit." Tsu said.
The freckled teen blushed, 'Oh man I forgot everyone saw that!'
"I've got these sticky balls." Mineta said, reaching for one of his balls and pulling it off… of his head. He stuck in on the ship's wall as a demonstration, "Their strength varies. Depending on how I'm feeling, they might stick to something for a whole day."
The purple teen tapped the ball, "They grow back as fast as I pull 'em off. But I'll bleed if I use too many. Oh and they don't stick to me. I just bounce right off 'em." He continued to repeatedly slap his ball.
"..."
There was a noticeable silence as the two green-haired teens staired and the purple teen, a couple of seconds passing with no comment or action of any kind. Mineta teared up, whimpering, until full on crying again.
"Don't look at me like that! THIS is why I said we should wait for THE REAL HEROES!" Mineta wailed, "My Quirk is totally unfit for battle we're gonna diiiiiiiiie!"
"No, you have an incredible power!" Midoriya sweatdropped, trying to console the pervy boy, "Really! We just have to figure out how to use it!"
Their conversation was cut short as one of the water villains slashed at the boat, a diagonal line cutting directly across the exterior and interior of the yacht, splitting it cleanly.
"I'm starting to get bored!" A sea villain called, his eyes were fully blue, with gills adorning the sides of his face, he had no lips and his teeth could be seen. "Let's get this show on the road!"
"That's a great power." Tsu commented, "Now the ship's sinking."
Mineta screamed, chucking the balls of his head to the villains, with most of them landing in the water harmlessly. "Mineta, don't freak out!" Midoriya called to him. When it wasn't working Minta turned to Midoriya, still crying, and pointed to the villains.
"You gotta calm down!" Izuku cried back at the boy, before calming himself down, "They'll guess your Quirk!" He peeked over the edge of the boat.
There was a blue villain, a sharkman-like hybrid, wearing goggles, with blue hair styled up like a dorsal fin, all complete with a water tank backpack supplying water directly into his mouth. He tried to shoo the balls away, without directly making contact, and Midoriya noticed this.
"Wait, they're afraid to touch them." Realization dawned on him.
The split boat began to sink, slowly descending into the water. The sharkman spoke, "The boat will be fully submerged in less than a minute. And once they're in the water they don't stand a chance against us."
"WE'RE FISH FOOD!" Mineta's eyes rolled to the back of his head as he panicked.
"So Mineta, are you really sure the hero thing is right for you?" Tsu prodded, keeping her cool head, even in a situation like this.
"SHUT UP!" Mineta cried, "It's weirder not to be scared right now!" Snot and tears flowed down his face, "We just got outta junior high a little while ago! I DIDN'T THINK I'D BE FACING DEATH A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING UA!"
"I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M GONNA DIE WITHOUT EVER GETTING TO TOUCH YAOYOROZU'S BOOBS!" Mineta was rambling at this point.
"Listen up." Midoriya said, "An enemy that's certain of their victory is bound to make this mistake." He pictured his mentor, standing before him heroically as ever, "All Might said something along those lines in a TV interview a while back."
"What does that mean?" Mineta was slumped by the wall, defeated morally. He gasped as he noticed the usually calm Midoriya's fist clenched tightly.
"Now's our chance. We can beat them!"
The sharkman cackled, "Poor babies. Sounds like they're crying for their mommies up there." He mocked.
"Hey, now." The armored gill villain interjected, "Don't forget Shigaraki told us to keep our guards up. We can't judge 'em by how old they are but by their Quirks… They could do anything." He raised his right hand, the water being dragged along, encasing his hand, "Of course, we'll definitely have an advantage in the water, so I'm not exactlyworried for us."
"AAAAHHH!" Midoriya let out a battle cry.
"You can't be serious Midoriya what're you-" Mineta chimed in, but Midoriya's cry drowned him out.
'Come on, act like Kacchan would.' Activating his Quirk, he jumped against the rail of the boat, diving straight for the water villains, "Now DIE!"
"Stupid move, kid." The water villain snorted, flexing his water hand.
Midoriya was glowing with the energy of OFA, 'Now just like All Might!' Midoriya aimed his left arm toward, his middle finger against his thumb, he held his left arm firmly with his right arm, expecting a hard recoil from this move. 'I'm not going to get hurt this time!'
'Even with my control, I wouldn't be able to get all of them at once when they're in a circle around the perimeter of the boat. Besides, there are still other enemies outside of the shipwreck zone, so I should spare my energy if I can.'
"After he hits the water, he's mine!" One of the sea villains snarled.
Midoriya's jaw clenched as he prepared his attack, 'We don't need to defeat them, we just need to keep everyone safe!' One For All's glow intensified as he channeled his power for his move.
Tsu held Mineta under her arm, the boy would normally enjoy this, but he was too frightened to even notice. "Ready Mineta?"
Mineta's teeth chattered as he thought to himself, 'Even though he's as scared as I am, even though he's shaking… he's still going through with this.'
"TAKE THIS! DELAWARE SMASH!" Midoriya flicked his finger, the force throwing him back up higher, and a blast of air was sent directly into the water, causing the once calm water to erratically shift into furious waves, almost like a storm.
Midoriya, still in the air, flexed his hand, feeling it slightly tense from the foreign force. 'This isn't like before, I'm not hurt!' Ignoring his sore fingers, he turned to his classmates and held out his other hand, "Tsu! Mineta, now!"
"Ribbit!" Tsu's superior jumping was apparent when she launched herself into the air, still carrying Mineta. She sent her tongue out, and Midoriya reached toward it, the slimy muscular organ wrapping around Midoriya's wrist and dragging him away midair.
'What the heck, Midoriya? How do you do it?' Mineta grabbed his spherical hair, 'You're acting so cool, and I'm not helping at all.'
Tsu glanced down, noticing Mineta, "AAAHHH! TAKE THIS, YOU VILLAINS!" He furiously ripped his balls off his head and threw them at the villains, an excess amount making its way into the water. "YOU CAN EAT MY STICKY BALLS!"
"What's going on?!" The villains and Mineta's balls were both being dragged into the whirlpool that Midoriya's Quirk made. "I'm getting dragged in!" The balls all began to stick to the villains, as they struggled to take them off to no use.
"Did these come from that kid?"
"I can't get 'em offa me!"
The villains were cut off as they were each swept up in the whirlpool. The water rose up in the center in a splash from the pressure of the attack, before retreating in on itself, "If a strong force is applied to water's surface, the water would be pushed away and the come rushing right back to the middle!" Midoriya called.
"I'm stuck!" A villain cried as they were all forcefully shoved together, Mineta's balls acting like glue, sticking them all together without escape, "You're gonna drown me!" The water erupted up into the air sending the immobile villains flying away safely out of the water.
"We rounded them all up. Not too shabby." Tsu said as she carried them to safety, "You guys are amazing. Both of you." Mineta's eyes were welled up with tears and his head slightly bled from overuse of his Quirk.
Midoriya proudly clenched his fist, 'I did it.' He looked up at his classmates, "No, we did it."
"I guess we passed the shipwreck zone." Tsu said, rushing the three of them away.
. . .
Aizawa grunted as he disposed of another villain, unconscious bodies littering the floor as the teacher had not stopped moving once he had engaged.
Jumping up high, he wrapped two villains in his binding cloth, tugging hard to bring himself crashing into them, landing perfectly with a foot on each of their chests. He decided to take this moment to catch his breath.
Red shoes padded on the floor as Shigaraki ran towards Aizawa, "First it was 23 seconds." Shigaraki said.
"Final Boss." Aizawa declared, shooting a strip of cloth toward the villainous boy.
"Then it was 24 seconds." Shigaraki caught the alloyed cloth, yanking it slightly. Aizawa just pulled himself towards the hand-covered teen. "And then 20. Then 17."
Aizawa elbowed Shigaraki clean in the gut, knocking the wind out of the teen. Midoriya, Tsu, and Mineta all poked their heads out of their hiding spots in the water, gasping in amazement at their teacher's display.
They frowned when they examined the scene closer and noticed Shigaraki had caught Aizawa's elbow, not actually affected by his attack. Aizawa panted as his hair fell flat, his Quirk deactivating.
"It was hard to see when you were jumping around, but I found your tell." Shigaraki said, "It's your hair..."
Goggles were covering Aizawa's eyes, preventing everyone from seeing his dry and reddened eyes widen in shock.
"When it droops, it means you've stopped using your Quirk." Aizawa grunted in pain as his elbow felt as if it were melting underneath Shigaraki's palm. "You're having to blink more often. Don't push yourself too hard, now. You might just fall apart."
"Wouldn't that be a shame-" The handsy teen was cut off with an uppercut as a familiar blonde launched herself from the ground. "Urgh!" He fell back to the floor, caught off guard.
"What're you doing here?!" Aizawa asked his student as the two of them jumped backward. Lucy, now dressed in her Virgo Star Dress, grimaced as she noticed his arm, bits of muscle exposed as his flesh crumbled away.
"I'm here to help you!" Lucy insisted, "Todoroki and I were separated by villains, but he's been managing to freeze and incapacitate them… Before we split, we decided that guy," She pointed to Shigaraki who was recovering quickly, "Is the biggest threat there is. There's no way I'll let you take him on alone!"
Aizawa grunted, "Don't be naive!" Villains tried to approach the pair, but they fell through the ground when they tried to get close to them.
"What's with all these holes!" A masked villain with spiky red hair groaned in frustration from where he was trapped.
A pink-haired woman poked her head through one of the holes, a frilly hair piece keeping her hair in place. "I will continue my punishment time on these evildoers for the princess!"
"It looks like that villain is helping us!" Lucy nervously laughed, hoping to cover for her Spirit's intervention. She was grateful for the help, but they needed to have a talk about being more subtle.
Aizawa, having a moment to breathe tried to process that strange exchange, but Shigaraki was glaring daggers at Lucy.
"That cheap shot wasn't very heroic of you." He sneered, "And bringing a strange maid not affiliated with UA must be breaking some rules. And I'm not just saying that 'cause she's a hindrance." Shigaraki muttered.
"I don't need a villain to lecture me on what's heroic!" Lucy frowned, hoping that this conversation wouldn't press any further, unluckily for her, it wouldn't.
"I had it all planned out, that annoying Quirk of yours isn't suited for drawn-out fights against big groups, you would have been out of your element, Eraser Head." Shigaraki stated, finally recovered and standing, watching as his allies fell into pitfalls.
Aizawa wasn't panting as hard anymore, finally able to stand still, his right arm had been rendered useless by Shigaraki previous onslaught. Lucy stood in front of him, blocking the path between him and Shigaraki, Aizawa had to admit that he was shocked that she was remaining so calm.
"Things were going well until this cheater showed up!" Shigaraki hissed, scratching his wrist slightly, "And to think I was almost impressed with your display, Eraser Head!" He chuckled darkly.
"Too bad for you both, I'm not the final boss."
A large bird-looking like monster stood before them, it had a muscular body decorated with scars, a beak-like mouth with sharp teeth poking out, not to mention its brain sticking out like a sore thumb, and two large eyes staring the two down. Somehow it ended up behind them, and the height difference only made it that much more menacing as it towered over them.
Its jaw unhinged as its left hand reached for Aizawa, his hand crushing the teacher's face without any difficulty or remorse whatsoever. Much to Lucy's horror, Nomu tossed the teacher's body to the side and turned its attention to her.
Lucy finally realized what kind of danger she could be facing here, her body trembling as the bird screeched in her face. She looked over at her teacher who was face down, trying to recuperate, although Lucy didn't think he'd be getting up anytime soon.
Swallowing her fear she knew that she had to protect Mr. Aizawa… So why were her legs still shaking? And why did she want to cry?
The Nomu reared its fist, and Lucy knew she had to move… The Nomu's fist launched forward, Lucy shut her eyes, waiting for the blow to hit…
"MOOOOO! YOU'RE NOT TOUCHING HER BEAUUUUUUUUTIFUL BODY!" Taurus had burst from the ground, courtesy of Virgo.
Lucy opened her eyes, a relieving smile coloring her features. "Taurus!"
Shigaraki however wasn't as joyful at the bull's arrival, "Where did he come from?" Shigaraki grunted in disapproval.
"You have your friends, I have mine." Lucy smirked, glad she wouldn't be facing this alone, her outfit glowed, being replaced with Taurus' Star Dress, ready for the extra strength to help with the fight.
Taurus was using his axe to block Nomu's blows, skidding back, feeling the full extent of the monster's blows. Lucy felt herself looking slightly uncertain again as Shigaraki smirked unbeknownst to her because a hand covered his face.
"What do you think of him, cheater?" His raspy voice cut through the air, "He's the bioengineered, anti-Symbol of Peace. But you can call him "Nomu." Don't ever underestimate the final boss."
. . .
"Ah, Black Hole, the Quirk that sucks up matter and turns it to dust. Such an astounding power." Kurogiri complimented calmly even though his body was being sucked up by Thirteen's Quirk.
"However, you're a rescue hero, Thirteen, skilled at saving people from disasters. Consequently, that means you have little fighting experience or battlefield awareness." He tsked, as he created a portal behind the Pro, pulling her in towards it with a yelp.
"He opened a warp gate!" The gate created had channeled her Quirk, and she was uncontrollably forced to use her Quirk on her own body, it tore half of her suit apart, endangering her life in front of all the students.
"How unfortunate. You've turned yourself into dust." Kurogiri sneered at the woman, making the present class members terrified.
Thirteen's Quirk ceased as she had damaged herself horribly, "I'm sorry. He got me." She gasped as she slowly fell over.
"Iida you have to go, now." Mina cried.
'Use your Quirk to save others. Be a real hero!' Thirteen's earlier encouragement rang in his ears, Iida's eyes were shut tight as he steeled his resolve, finally opening them with a newfound determination.
The pipes on his legs blasted and he shot forward, sprinting without delay, "Engiiiiine!" He called as he zoomed past Kurogiri.
Kurogiri, of course, noticed this. "A sheep trying to escape from the wolves. I simply can't allow that."
Iida panted and a warp gate opened directly in front of him as Kurogiri continued, "If other heroes arrive, it'll be harder for us to put an end to All Might."
Iida stomped his feet sideways in an effort to stop himself from entering, he skidded closer and closer to the portal from his momentum, "This responsibility…" He pictured his classmates fighting for their lives, he imagined the rest of the student council that their class had formed, the members still missing, "...was entrusted to me!"
"Classmates! I'll keep you safe!" He vowed to himself, his body almost making contact with the portal. He was saved when Shoji of all people wrapped his many arms around the misty villain and tackled him, catching him unprepared.
"RUN!" Shoji's body rolled on the ground, Kurogiri firmly in his grasp, "I've got him!"
Tenya had never stopped skidding and immediately resumed his dash, "I'll be back in a flash!" He promised, not letting this opportunity slip.
Kurogiri escaped Shoji's hold, and his yellow eyes glared at Iida, "You impertinent child!" He expanded his body, readying to chase after him.
Uraraka was helping tend to Thirteen, but it was at that moment she had noticed a weird item floating in the villains mist. "You won't set foot outside those doors!" Kurogiri growled.
"I have no time for this." A shadow loomed over Iida as Kurogiri pursued him, "BE GONE!" He bellowed, his purple mist obscured Iida's vision as it cloaked his body.
. . .
In the ruined zone, filled with collapsed buildings all in well… ruin, explosions could be seen. "Say goodbye!" Bakugo roared as he blasted some villains away, sending them crashing into a wall. Kirishima meanwhile was caught up in a swordfight, using his hardened arm to parry the sword, and actually smashing through the metal, breaking it. He struck down the villain wielding the sword. Levy moved to contain each of the villains in some runes, containing them until the proper authorities could contain them.
"Think that's the last of these guys." Bakugo panted. "Buncha weaklings."
"All right. Let's hurry and find the rest of our class." Kirishima said, releasing his quirk, "If we're all still in USJ, then everyone else probably is, too." He clenched his fist, "And not all of them have offensive skills like we do. We gotta make sure they're safe." He said determinedly.
"Especially since we screwed things up when we got in the way earlier." He said, remembering how he and Bakugo charged ahead.
"Don't be too hard on yourself." Levy said as she finished up the runes, "You guys did what you believed would help, there's nothing wrong with that."
"But if Thirteen had been able to suck up that villain, then we never would've been separated like that. We have to make it up to the others!" He urged, turning to Bakugo.
"You wanna track everyone down, have fun. But I'm gonna go destroy that warpy bastard." Bakugo declared.
"Huh?" Kirishima was bewildered, "Our physical attacks didn't hurt that guy. C'mon. Don't be an idiot, man."
"Shut up." Bakugo stomped, "I'm gonna take him down 'cause he's their way in and out." A chameleon villain crawled towards the trio, camouflage working to his advantage as he blended in perfectly with their surroundings.
"If I cut off their escape route, they'll be stuck here and have to pay for what they've done." Bakugo explained, "We'll just have to figure it out."
The camouflage villain leapt forward, "Hope you had fun chit-chatting. Too bad you let your guard do-" He was cut off as Levy spoke, "Solid script: Drill!" Magic coated her hand as she drilled into her opponent's gut, knocking him unconscious.
"Anyways." Bakugo continued, "If all these villains are small fries like these guys were, then our classmates can handle 'em."
"Since when do you act so calm and rational?" Kirishima asked the explosive teen. "Usually you're all like, die! Die! DIE!"
"I'm always calm and rational you red-haired loser!" Bakugo angrily retorted in his usual manner.
"Yeah! There you are." Kirishima grinned at the annoyed teen.
"It was nice while it lasted." Levy laughed, not really bothered by his behavior.
"Go find the others if you want to." Bakugo shrugged as he began to walk away. Only for Kirishima to call out, "Wait, hold up!"
"I think what you're really saying is that you believe in our classmates. And that's thinkin' like a man, Bakugo." Kirishima knew the other boy could be a cranky jerk, but when they rushed in together he knew that he meant well, and having fought alongside him, he could respect him a bit more.
"I don't think you're really as bad as you lead us all to think." Levy commented, before turning her attention to the other zones.
Levy turned towards the open hole in the run-down building they were currently in. "You guys go on ahead, I'm gonna see if I can find anyone else." Levy announced as she began glowing with purple energy, "Dark Ecriture: Wings!" The purple wings formed, as she took flight, "Watch out for each other!" She called as she sped off into the distance.
Kirishima and Bakugo watched her as she gained distance, "That's a really cool Quirk." Kirishima laughed as they made their way to leave, with Bakugo finding himself silently agreeing.
. . .
Iida continued to run through the villain's mist until the distinct sound of Uraraka activating her Quirk could be heard.
His head turned slightly as he caught the sight of Uraraka's fingertips glowing pink as she gripped something in the mist. "I don't know what his Quirk is, but he's wearing some kinda weird armor." Uraraka grunted.
"So he must have a physical body inside here somewhere." The girl deduced, throwing the armor upwards and Kurogiri was forced to follow as if tethered to the object. "Now! RUN, IIDA!"
"You pest! How dare you!" The offended villain exclaimed, helplessly sent up into the air.
Iida finally made it to the door, grunting as he had to pry it open with his hands. Kurogiri saw his opening, "I got you!" He sped towards Iida as fast as he could.
"Not so fast!" Sero objected, shooting his tape forward, snagging the armor. He along with Mina played tug of war, as they tried to force the villain away from the door, and more importantly, Iida.
A new voice called from above them, "Guys give him to me!" Levy descended, grabbing onto the tape, "Class rep!" The class exclaimed in relief that she was okay.
Levy zoomed high up into the air once again with her wings Flying in a continuous circle gaining more and more speed, "Cease this at once!" Kurogiri growled as the bluenette glared.
"Fine!" She exclaimed, swinging her arms forward, "I'll stop!" She let go of the tape, flinging the villain ways away, "But you won't."
Tenya looked back at Levy, her purple wings reminding him of her speech during the emergency, and the girl returned his gaze with a warm and friendly one of her own despite the circumstances, "I know you'll come through for us Iida!"
Not wanting to let anyone down, Iida grunted one final time, finally wrenching the door open. Now outside, he slipped through and wasted no time in activating his Quirk further, "Engine Boost!" He sped off toward UA, hoping he wouldn't be too late…
The class swarmed Thirteen, the fallen pro being the most vulnerable of the group. "Oh no…" Levy gasped, kneeling down.
"Don't worry about me…" The teacher said faintly, "Top priority is the safety of you and your classmates."
Levy smiled softly, "Thank you, but even a hero needs help every now and then, let us help keep you safe." Levy bent down and seemingly began to write on the floor around them.
Her classmates were curious to see her using her Quirk up close, their eyes following each symbol Levy wrote. "I need you guys to cover me for a bit, I'm gonna make a protective space for us, only allies will be able to enter but it'll take a minute..." Levy tried her best to write as fast as she could, but once she finished she'd have to fly around and gather the rest of her classmates, she just hoped they were okay…
. . .
Lucy and Taurus both stood gasping for air, each covered in scratches. "No matter what we do, he just shrugs it off like it's nothing!" Lucy groaned, her space buns having long fallen loose, leaving her hair cascading over her shoulders.
"Your Quirk is nothing compared to Nomu." Shigaraki informed, "Call whoever else you want cheater, Nomu was constructed to be able to take a beating."
Lucy's eyes widened in realization, "You mean that-"
"That your attacks are useless on Nomu!" Shigaraki revealed to the wizard, who placed a hand over her mouth.
"Don't worry Lucy." Taurus' face was red, a seriously stern expression gracing his features, "I'LL SHOW THIS NOMUUUUUU WHO'S BOSS!" Jumping into the air and swinging his axe, a labrys, in a circular motion, the bull channeled his celestial magic and brought it down on Nomu, "RAMPAGE!"
Bringing his axe down, everyone in the area shielded their eyes as dust spread across the area. Lucy herself was surprised to see the power her spirit wielded, 'Could it be the extra ethernano in the air?'
When the dust settled, Nomu held Taurus by the neck, the Spirit struggling against his foe's strength. "Taurus!" Lucy cried for her Spirit, not wanting him to get hurt too badly.
Taurus' axe lay discarded on the floor, and a scratch Nomu had just seemed to be repairing itself like nothing.
The Nomu prepared to strike, its fist rearing back, it was ready to strike when it felt a pressure slowing him. Lucy clung to the Nomu's arm, "I won't let you just hit him that easily!"
The Nomu snarled at the girl, simply slamming her against the floor, Lucy continued to hold on despite her body taking a beating, slam, slam, slam. The Nomu slammed her a total of four times, and with a final swing, it sent her to the floor, flat on her face. "Urg…" Lucy groaned from the floor, blood slightly dripping from her temple.
The Nomu looked at Taurus with disinterest, hurling him at Aizawa with a force that crushed the teacher further. Lucy slowly raised herself with her arms, with Nomu chopping her back to the floor.
"Oh man, this isn't looking good…" Lucy coughed some blood onto the floor, her insides burning as she gazed at the colossal monster in front of her.

A Real Pro
Nomu looked at Taurus with disinterest, hurling him at Aizawa with a force that crushed the teacher further. Lucy slowly raised herself with her arms, and Nomu chopped her back to the floor.
"Oh man, this isn't looking good…" Lucy coughed some blood onto the ground, her insides burning as she gazed at the colossal monster in front of her.
Lucy sat collapsed on the floor as her magic gave out, placing a hand at her temple, in pain as she struggled to continue. Hikaru stood before her, "Lucy, behind you!" Happy warned.
"Run away!" Natsu screamed to his partner.
Hikaru's palm smacked Lucy hard into the ground, a small crater forming where she struck. "Leave her alone!" Natsu roared, trying to free himself from the rubble his legs were trapped under.
Lucy remembered Happy tried to rush in and save her, punching Hikaru's face only to get knocked back into a tree. "Get out of here Lucy!" Natsu ordered., "You've gotta chase down that fraud or we'll lose 'em! Don't worry about me just keep on running and don't look back!"
"No way…" Lucy objected to Natsu's shock, Hikaru stomped her into the ground, the force hurting her spine and her ribs simultaneously. Hikaru continued his merciless onslaught ignoring Lucy's cries of pain with Natsu and Happy forced to watch one of their best friends be tortured by the heavyset man.
Hikaru gripped her by the head, and she spoke through the pain, "I refuse to run away. I won't do it." Hikaru picked Lucy up and despite all of the blows dealt by Hikaru, despite the pain she felt, despite how much her body fought against her, she smiled brightly, "I'd rather stay here with you. I can't think of anything that would make me happier…" She confessed, meaning it.
Lucy felt tears stream down her face, she had made it out that time... She was brought back to the present, the Nomu had finished crushing Aizawa's arms and now was holding her up by the hair, much like Hikaru did on Tenrou.
"No… No!" Mineta cried from his spot in the water. "I can't watch this anymore… What can we even do if Mr. Aizawa and Heartfilia couldn't stand up to it?!"
"Ribbit." Tsu croaked.
Mineta, Tsu, and Midoriya had all been watching the exchange so far, frozen by fear. They also knew for a fact that they were outclassed, their rushing in there would create more of a hazard, and they needed to wait for the right moment to get their teacher and classmate out of there.
Kurogiri faded in next to the head villain, "Tomura Shigaraki."
"Kurogiri," Shigaraki acknowledged, "Did you manage to kill Thirteen?"
"The rescue hero is out of commission," Kurogiri replied, "But there were students I was unable to disperse and one of them got outside of the facility."
"Huh?!" Shigaraki turned away from him, scratching his neck, low growls emitted from the boy as he began scratching at his skin with both hands, "Kurogiri… You fool…"
"If you weren't our warp gate, I'd tear apart every last atom in your body." Shigaraki threatened, finally halting the onslaught on his skin, having scratched it red and raw.
"There's no way we can win if dozens of pros show up to stop us. It's game over." He stated slightly more calmly, "Back to the title screen."
His shoulders drooped ever so slightly, "And I was looking forward to finishing this today. Damn it. Let's go home." Shigraki decided.
"Huh, did I hear that right?" Mineta whispered, "Did he say they're just gonna leave?"
"That's what it sounded like to me." Tsu replied in a hushed tone.
Mineta gasped, tears of solace pooling in his eyes, "Yes! That's amazing!" He hugged Tsu, his hand ending up on her chest, "We're safe and we don't have to fight."
"Uh, yeah. But…" Tsu said awkwardly, as Mineta cried until it finally processed whose hand was where. She impassively dunked the boy's head underwater keeping him there for the time being, "I have a real bad feeling about this, Midoriya."
Midoriya nodded in agreement, "It seems weird that they'd retreat at this point, even if help is on the way."
'All Might's probably coming. Don't they wanna kill him?'Midoriya wondered, 'They must know UA will beef up their security after this. So now is their best chance. What's going on here? Why is this "Game over," huh?'
"Oh, before we leave, let's make sure the Symbol of Peace is broken." Shigaraki nonchalantly declared, his eye narrowing on Lucy who was limply held up, "Let's wreck his pride."
He held his hand up and slowly inched it closer and closer to Lucy's face, "For this cheater, let's make this hurt."
The three students were paralyzed with fear. They had wanted to move. They wanted to do something to stop the evil teen, but their legs weren't cooperating.
Midoriya watched the hand get closer, remembering what it did to Aizawa's elbow, leaving his muscle showing, the skin around the area rough and course as it struggled to stay on. If he used that Quirk on Lucy…
Shigaraki placed his hand on Lucy, and the girl crumbled into bits of flesh. Her figure was left unrecognizable as chunks of her crumbled to the floor.
Shigaraki placed his hand on Lucy, and… nothing happened.
"You really are cool…" Shigaraki tilted his head down. Despite being confined under Nomu's heel, Aizawa had his head tilted to the side, face bloody, and struggling to keep his eye open. He glared at Shigaraki, his hair flowing and iris red, erasing his Quirk, "Eraser Head."
Nomu stomped his foot, causing Aizawa's head to go face-first into the concrete. Midoriya however wasn't going to sit idly by this time! Activating his Quirk he charged at Shigaraki.
'This guy's clearly different from the ones we fought before! We've gotta save Mr. Aizawa and Lucy, and get them outta here!' Izuku swung his fist, "YOU! LET HER GO! NOW! SMASH!"
Midoriya's enraged attack changed the very pressure of the air, sending everyone unprepared for it flying away. The simulated environments quaked, the indoor trees shifted with the wind, glass broke, and even Levy was sent tumbling from her place in the air a bit.
The dust had gathered around the area that Midoriya had struck, he glanced at his arm which was left relatively unharmed, he figured he'd be able to increase his power output a tiny bit to remain unharmed, and was glad that it had worked.
'All right!' The freckled teen thought, figuring he got a good hit in. Unfortunately, the dust dispersed to reveal Nomu standing there blocking his shot of Shigaraki. Considering they had been next to each other it wasn't surprising, what was surprising was the fact that he remained unfazed by the attack.
Midoriya thought of the fight between Lucy, the bullman, and Nomu, now realizing that despite their best efforts the Nomu remained unscratched from their battle before. He thought back to what Tsu said, "If the villains spent so much time planning then they probably figured out a way to kill him."
"You're pretty powerful." Shigaraki commented from behind Nomu, "This "smash" of yours… are you one of All Might's disciples?" Shigaraki questioned.
"Doesn't matter. I'm done with you now."
Nomu's eyes looked down at Midoriya's arm, still extended. He grabbed it, his large fist enclosing the whole length.
Lucy, Aizawa, and Taurus were lying in a heap, all desperately trying to stay conscious through the pain. Shigaraki turned his attention to Mineta and Tsu who's locations became exposed, deciding to take care of them first, he reached over to them.
At that moment everything seemed to be going in slow motion, Midoriya was being raised up high, causing Tsu to extend her tongue to try to save him. Shigaraki's open palms headed towards the pairs faces. Midoriya's eyes shut on reflex, knowing the pain might be unbearable.
CRASH!
Everyone went still at the noise. Dust had gathered at the entrance as a single figure stepped in. Uraraka and Mina gasped in relief as they witnessed All Might walk in. With Sero and Shoji smiling at the mans arrival.
All Might had rushed right over to USJ and was still in his teaching suit, "I couldn't shake the feeling that something had gone wrong when Aizawa and Thirteen didn't answer my calls." Removing the yellow jacket and tossing it aside, he assessed the situation before him.
"So I hurried over, running into Young Iida along the way. He told me of the villainy at work here." His voice was as heroic as ever, but he was seething on the inside, 'I can't believe all of this went down while I was resting. I hate to think of how frightened these children must be.'
He noticed Thirteen's fallen form, 'And how hard my colleagues had to fight in order to protect them. The only thing I can do now is reassure them that things will be okay.'
'That's my duty as the Symbol of Peace.'
"Have no fear, students." All Might's face was as intense as ever, "I AM HERE!"
Tsu had use this distraction to secure Midoriya and Lucy, "He's here…" Midoirya said in awe, "All Might."
'And he's not smiling…'
"After all this waiting..." Shigaraki muttered, "The heroic piece of trash shows up."
Many of the remaining villains were frightened at the number one hero's arrival. "Holy crap! It's All Might! I've never seen the guy in person before."
A buff blue Cyclops villain with two horns poking out the sides of his face spoke up next, "I didn't expect him to be so huge."
"This is no time to talk, you idiots." A man with stitched skin snapped, "If we can strike now we can kill-"
He never did get to finish that sentence, as All Might had used his superior speed to knock out the eight villains gathered singlehandedly and effortlessly.
He grabbed Aizawa, the man having been swept away by Midoriya's previous attack. And the villains all fell to the ground defeated. All Might took in his colleague's battered appearance, the bloody face, and his still peeling arm… "I'm sorry, Aizawa. I should've been here."
All Might's normally dark eyes flashed blue, his super strength activating as he grabbed all of the kids in one arm and Aizawa in the other. The force of the process knocked Shigaraki back, the hand decorating his face falling.
All Might drifted back, setting everyone down as gently as he could.
"What the heck?" Mineta raised his eyebrow, All Might's movement was so fast it took a moment to register what happened.
"Everybody, back to the entrance." All Might ordered, "And take Aizawa with you. He doesn't have much time."
"Yes sir!" Mineta agreed nervously.
"Ribbit." Tsu said with an even tone.
"You saved us, All Might." Midoriya said, looking up at his hero.
Shigaraki was clutching at his face, "No, no, no." He stepped toward the fallen hand, "It wasn't supposed to go this way. He's still fast, Father." He dropped to his knees, grabbing the hand, "Somehow he managed to hit me…" He sighed contently as he placed the hand on his face once more.
"Of course, a government hero relies on violence. I wasn't prepared." He reasoned with himself, "I couldn't even see him when he moved. But he's not as fast as I thought he would be. Not as fast as he used to be."
"I guess it's true after, all." A crazed and sadistic smile strew across his features, "All Might really is getting weaker."
Midoriya slung Aizawa on his back, but he wasn't tall enough to fully take the grown man off the ground. Mineta reached towards Lucy to pick her up, and she weakly slapped him away, slightly regaining her consciousness. Mineta scurried to lift Aizawa's legs off the ground, hoisting them over his shoulders.
Tsu picked Lucy up gently, "Thanks Tsu…" Lucy groaned, just knowing that some of her ribs were broken. "Ribbit. No problem."
"All Might, you can't!" Midoriya warned, "That brain villain took One For-" He turned to his classmates, who leaned in, "I-I smashed him and he didn't even budge. He's too strong!"
Lucy spoke up from Tsu's arms, "That thing, Nomu… It may have a regeneration Quirk… It healed a cut given to it earlier."
All Might's gaze was locked on the villains, he extended his hand at Midoriya, "Young Midoriya!" He turned and gave him a peace sign. "I got this."
Midoriya gazed worriedly but moved with his classmates to get their injured allies out of there. All Might turned back to the villains and sprung towards them, more specifically Shigaraki. All Might crossed his arms, "Carolina…"
"Nomu." Shigaraki simply commanded, the monster instantly rushing to his master's defense.
"Smash!" The 'x' shape attack struck Nomu directly in the abdomen, having no effect on the artificial monster whatsoever.
"Huh?" All Might muttered. Nomu growled, his eyes fixated on All Might. The monster attempted to wrap his arms around the hero to crush him but hugged the air as All Might bent backward 90 degrees, narrowly avoiding the attack.
"Guess he wasn't wrong when he said it had no effect on you." All Might didn't hesitate to attack Nomu with a strike from his right fist. The punch didn't faze Nomu once again. "LET'S TRY THIS!" All Might's fist collided with Nomu's cheek and then the other one.
All Might took a leap back when he realized that his attacks weren't having the usual effect they had on other villains. "Doesn't even matter where I punch you, does it?"
All Might planted his feet firmly on the floor with Nomu in hot pursuit. He drove his fist into the villain's chest, delivering a flurry of punches.
"That's because Nomu here has shock Absorption, All Might." Shigaraki revealed, "The only way you're going to hurt him is to slowly gouge out his flesh."
Shigaraki raised his arms mockingly, "Of course, I don't think he'll sit back and let you do that. You've finally met your match."
"Ha!" All Might avoided Nomu's strike by dashing to the side, "Thanks for telling me how to beat him!" He dashed behind Nomu grabbing him securely around the waist, "All I have to do is wear him down and then it's on to YOU!" All Might suplexed Nomu causing a cloud of dust to form and a shockwave to echo throughout the area.
Nearby, Midoriya, Tsu, Lucy, and Mineta watched the fight unfold as they made their way to safety, Aizawa still having to be carried. Lucy had found the strength to walk but was still supported by Tsu, the frog girl having a secure arm around the vice president's shoulders.
"Are you guys seeing this?" Mineta asked, "That suplex looked like a huge explosion! All Might's like on a whole other level!"
"And yet he still has to look at his notes when he's teaching us." Tsu commented.
Midoriya gazed worriedly toward the fight, "It's possible they have a way to kill him. But even if they do there's not really anything we can do to help him now."
"A way to kill him? If that's the case, there has to be something we can do!" Lucy urged, slightly clutching at her side.
"If we tried to, we'd risk getting taken hostage, which is so much worse than just getting in his way." Midoriya responded.
'If that's the case I have to put my faith in All Might, and stop worrying about the villain's plans.' Midoriya thought to himself.
"GET THAT GUY!" Mineta cried in support. "PUNCH HIM RIGHT IN THE BALLS!"
"Maybe we were worried about these bad guys for nothing." Tsu optimistically suggested, "All Might's unstoppable."
'Seems that way but… I know the truth." Midoriya thought. The freckled teen remembered that on the way to school, All Might made headlines on the hero news. He took out villain after villain after villain. He also noticed that Thirteen had also indicated that All Might was at his limit earlier today.
'He must've been absent cause he used too much of his power.' Midoriya realized, 'He shouldn't be using One For All now!'
He turned away from the fight, instead choosing to focus on moving Aizawa, 'I'm the only one in my class who knows...'
All of the other students were cheering All Might on as he fought, each one knowing that the number one hero would do whatever it took to make sure they got back safe. Midoriya however was the only one who knew about his true struggle.
He knew All Might was putting on a brave face, he knew that All Might would do everything in his power to make sure the innocent were safe, but at what cost?
'They're cheering him on, but they don't know what kind of trouble he's actually in.'
The dust around the battlefield settled, and All Might was still bent over backward from his suplex position. Nomu, instead of having his head driven to the floor, was submerged in a warp gate protecting him which allowed him to pop up underneath All Might, grabbing him. Nomu gripped onto All Might despite his position, the monster managed to draw blood from the hero, impressing Shigaraki.
"Nice. You were trying to bury him in the concrete so he couldn't move around anymore." He waved off the tactic, "Sorry, that won't work. Nomu's as strong as you are. That won't stop him."
The villainous teen turned towards his misty companion, "Nice work, Kurogiri. We've got him just where we want him now."
All Might grunted, droplets of sweat falling from his body as he felt the monster's fingers dig into his skin, directly where his injured stomach was. 'Crap! This monster found my weak spot.' Releasing Nomu, he leaned over and attempted to pry the villain's fingers off his stomach.
'Damn. Gotta stop him, despite his power.' He grunted as he tried to loosen the tight grip, "If this is your best, then you picked the wrong place to attack. You should just give up now!"
Shigaraki slightly panted, his hand scratching at his neck, "Kurogiri."
Kurogiri apathetically chimed, "Normally I wouldn't want blood and viscera flooding the insides of my warp gates, but I'll make an exception for a hero as great as you."
"Since you're too fast to see with the human eye, Nomu had to restrain you. And once he's pulled your body halfway through. I'll squeeze the gate shut." Kurogiri envisioned his plan, with All Might ideally being cut in half.
"I'm going to enjoy tearing you to pieces." All Might groaned as he struggled to escape the combined might of the dark mist and the monster.
"Asui." Midoriya called.
"Yeah, what is it, Midoriya?" She responded.
"Can you carry Mr. Aizawa for me?"
"Ribbit? But what about Lucy?" The frog girl asked.
Lucy detached herself from Tsu, "I should be fine to move around on my own for now." Midoriya handed Aizawa to Tsu, with Mineta still holding up the teacher's legs.
"All Might… I won't let them kill you!' Midoriya took staggering steps before breaking into a full-on run, heading right toward the fight.
"Are you crazy?!" Mineta called.
Lucy followed after the boy, her body screaming at her every step of the way.
'There's still so much I want you to teach me! This can't be how it all ends. It just can't!' Midoriya remembered all the times they met on the beach to train, all the runs, all the talks they'd had… And now his mentor was struggling against a seemingly impossible foe. 'I'm coming!'
All Might noticed the pair of teens approaching, 'Kids, no! What do you think you're doing?" All Might's heart sank watching the children run toward this monster. His young charge surged forward in apt concern, the boy he had entrusted with his power, his own teacher's power. And the girl who didn't have any obligation to this world or to him, the girl who looked battered and beaten but still accompanied Midoriya, concern etched on her face, not for herself, but for him.
All Might wanted to feel touched, and somewhere deeply buried under all the overwhelming worry, he's sure he was. He couldn't find it in himself to allow these children to get hurt by intervening, but he was limited by his current situation.
Midoriya activated his Quirk, his legs vaulting him toward the struggling hero, Kurogiri scoffed at the boy's attempt merely standing between the good guys and activating a warp gate that Midoriya seemed to be heading right for.
Lucy wished the paperwork for her whip had gone through so she could avert his course, silently cursing as time seemed to slow with the freckled boy getting closer to being sent to who knows where.
"Get the hell outta my way, Deku!" Bakugo's explosions erupted from his palm as he used his other hand to push Midoriya away from the villain. The explosive teen grabbed Kurogiri by his armor and slammed him to the ground.
"Don't forget about us!" Levy called from the skies, in her hands was Todoroki whom she had seen and grabbed as quickly as possible, flinging him to the ground he landed in a crouch, his hand on the floor, ice snaking toward Nomu and encasing his entire right half.
'Young Bakugo, Levy, and Todoroki are all here!' All Might's eyebrows raised in surprise at how quickly things kept shifting.
Todoroki rose to a full stance, "One of your poorly trained thugs told me you're here cause you think you can kill All Might."
All Might assessed his student's even at this cristical moment, 'He controlled his Quirk so the ice stopped just before it reached my body.' Grabbing Nomu's fist All Might knew that he could loosen it, finally seizing his moment he detached the monster from his side, flipping over and leaving the Nomu half frozen.
All Might rose to a full stance right by Todoroki, but grunted as he grasped at his new wound, the blood already staining his shirt. Midoriya gasped as he blinked away his worried tears, "Are you okay?"
Kirishima made himself known as he flipped onto the scene, yelling as he tried to attack Shigaraki. The villain dodged, and Kirishima jumped back. "Damn! That was gonna be cool!"
"Guess I found your body that time ya smoky bastard!" Bakugo hollered, pinning Kurogiri down.
"You guy's didn't really plan this out that well if you thought All Might would go down that easily!" Levy announced, "He's the Symbol of Peace for a reason!"
"Not a moment too late…" Lucy sighed in relief.
"Kacchan! Everyone!" Midoriya wiped away his tears and angrily stared down Shigaraki.
. . .
Tsu and Mineta both watched in relief as their peers arrived on the scene, "Todoroki… and Bakugo." Mineta said, not expecting the pair to show up and charge in like that given their rough exteriors.
"Lucy, Levy, and Kirishima, too." Tsu added, their attention was diverted to their downed teacher as he groaned in pain. "Let them handle it, we need to hurry." Tsu quickly said.
"Yeah, okay!" Mineta replied.
From the entrance, Uraraka smiled at the arrival of some of their strongest classmates, "They're helping." She noted happily as movement caught her attention from below, "Wait, is that Tsu down there?" She pointed.
"Hey! We're all up here!" She waved them over.
"It's Ochaco!" Tsu said.
"Hey! Can you come help us out?" Mineta called, "He's super heavy and bleeding all over the place!"
"Mr. Aizawa!" Uraraka gasped, running to assist her friend… and Mineta.
Using her Zero Gravity on the man had made him weightless and easier to carry for the teens. They all tried to be as gentle as possible, not wanting to hurt their teacher any more than he had already been.
"Don't worry…" Thirteen assured Mina, "All Might will take care of this. When the other teachers get here, it'll be dangerous, so if this barrier doesn't hold… find someplace to hide." She urged, the words struggling to get out as she lay hurt, but her priority will always be rescue.
"Uh, okay!" Mina reluctantly agreed, knowing her instructor was among one of the best and knew the right decisions to make.
. . .
The heroes and villains stood at a stand still, gauging each other's moves. Shigaraki tilted his head to his companion, "Kurogiri. How could you let this brat get the best of you?"
"You've gotten us into a real jam here." He tsked at the man's pinned form, Bakugo proudly smirking as he held him down.
"Heh. You got careless, you dumb villain." Bakugo sneered, "It wasn't hard to figure you out. Only certain parts of you turn into that smoking warp gate. You use that mist to hide your actual body, as a kind of distraction. Thinking that makes you safe!"
Bakugo pressed more weight onto the villain, "That's why we missed." He explained the situation from earlier when he and Kirishima had tried to strike at the villain before they warped. "But if you didn't have a body, you wouldn't be wearing this neck armor, right?"
"So he's vulnerable to physical attacks if they're well aimed." Levy concluded, understanding the other teen's analysis with ease.
Kurogiri struggled and Bakugo sent small explosions along his back to force him back down, "Don't move!" He leaned forward with a sharp smile, "You try anything funny, and I'll blow your ass up right now, you got it?" He threatened, "They'll be cleanin' you up for weeks."
"Oh, that doesn't sound very heroic." Kirishima sweatdropped from beside him.
"We need to have a talk about that." Levy shook her head, her wings fluttering in case she needed to act swiftly at any moment.
Shigaraki wasn't amused at all, "They escaped uninjured and captured my two strongest men. Kids these days really are amazing."
"They make the League of Villains look like amateurs. Can't have that."
Shigaraki turned, "Nomu."
Nomu screeched as his body struggled back through the warp gate, still half-frozen in Todoroki's ice. Todoroki gasped as he witnessed this, his ice should've been strong enough to immobilize him. Nomu's frozen arm and leg snapped off, he used it left arm and leg to support himself.
The students shuddered and looked in awe as Nomu's eyes rolled to stare them down intensely. "How is that thing still moving? He's all messed up."
"STAY BACK, EVERYBODY!" All Might put his hand forward, stopping the students from doing anything rash.
The remainder of the ice on Nomu broke as the exposed muscle tissue convulsed rapidly as it multiplied replacing the amputated limbs.
"What is this?" All Might frowned, "I thought you said his power was shock absorption."
"Shock absorption?" Lucy tilted her head, "I thought he had a regeneration Quirk and that's why we couldn't make any lasting damage" She and Taurus had dealt some pretty lethal blows but Nomu just came back unscathed before.
"Could it be possible he has more than one Quirk?" Todoroki assessed.
"Shock absorption and super-regeneration." Shigaraki chimed in, All Might glared at the boy as he listened. "Nomu has been modified to take you on even at 100% of your power. He's basically a highly efficient punching bag that hits back."
"And you called me a cheater." Lucy muttered with a roll of her eyes. Everyone grew defensive as they heard of Nomu's Quirks.
Shigaraki rolled his eyes at the girl as well, "If you think Villains aren't above cheating, then you're in the wrong profession, hero. Besides, it's called being well prepared."
"We need to free our method of escape." Shigaraki continued, "Get him, Nomu."
Nomu didn't hesitate to follow Shigaraki's order, moving at high speeds. He went unseen by everyone, everyone except for All Might that is. 'He's fast!'
Nomu's fist surged forward as he struck at Bakugo. The others were all knocked back by the sheer force of the blow, especially Levy who had been knocked away once again for the second time that day. The villains and explosive teen were covered in dust as everyone struggled to make out the silhouettes.
As the dust settled, Nomu could be seen crouching, holding Kurogiri where Bakugo had once been. Bakugo didn't seem as though he was near the villains at first glance.
"Kacchan!" Midoriya exclaimed in worry.
Bakugo stared incredulously at the villains from beside Midoriya.
"Kacchan? Whoa, that's awesome, you dodged him!"
"Shut up, no I didn't, you damn nerd." Bakugo replied surprisingly calm, probably too distracted to be a full-on jerk. 'That speed… I couldn't even see him coming.'
Lucy hoped Levy wasn't blown away too far and that she was flying back, but none of them had been prepared for that blow, almost none of them. "All Might must've saved him. But that means…" She trailed off as they all followed the beaten floors imprint which led to a now broken wall.
All Might coughed as he stood his ground, the wall shattered around him.
'So he protected the child, huh?' Shigaraki mentally noted.
All Might panted, blood slightly leaking from his mouth down to his chin, "These are kids, and you didn't hold back?"
"I didn't have much of a choice. He was threatening my companion." Shigaraki retorted, "Besides, these kids are no angels."
"The plain-looking one." Midoriya flinched, "He tried to kill me with a maxed-out punch." Shigaraki said, "The cheater, she called in outside reinforcements who used their own Quirks, which I'm pretty sure they don't have the licenses for."
"What kind of "heroes" does something like that?" Shigaraki lectured, "You think you can get away with being as violent as you want or bend the rules to your whims if you say it's for the sake of others."
All Might grunted as he listened to the teen's tirade, "Well, you know what, All Might?"
"That pisses me off. Why do people get to decide that some violent acts are heroic and others are villainous? Casting judgment as to what's "good" and what's "evil." You think you're the Symbol of Peace? Ha. You're just another government-sponsored instrument of violence. And violence always breeds more violence. I'll make sure the world understands that once you're dead."
"Aren't you being a little hypocritical if you're the one trying to decide what fits "good" or "evil?" Especially if you're using violence yourself, to get your way." Lucy interposed, wondering what this guy's goal was besides defeating All Might.
Shigaraki scoffed and All Might spoke up, "You're nothing but a lunatic." He spat, "Criminals like you; you always try and make your actions sound noble. But admit it; you're only doing this because you like it. Isn't that right?"
Shigaraki narrowed his eyes at the pair of blondes, "They've got me figured out."
Todoroki's eyes focused, "We've got them outnumbered."
Midoriya nodded, "And Kacchan found out the mist guy's weakness."
"These dudes may act really tough, but we can take 'em out with All Might's help." Kirishima hardened his arms, "Let's do this."
"Don't Attack."
All Might's commanding voice stopped the students in their tracks as he stepped up.
"Get out of here!"
"You would've been in trouble earlier if it weren't for me, remember?" The icy-hot teen interposed, "You need our help."
"I thank you for your assistance, but this is different." All Might stressed. The pro clenched his fist determinedly, "It's gonna be all right. Just sit back and watch a pro at work."
"But you're too hurt. You're bleeding." Midoriya piped in, "And you're almost out of ti-" Midoriya cut himself off as he glanced at his peers, all of whom didn't realize the teen's full connection with the number one hero.
All Might gave Midoriya a thumbs up, silently reassuring the boy as well as he could with all the others present.
Lucy stepped up, not wanting to leave her teacher to deal with this alone. "All Might there has to be something we can do." She urged, having had enough of standing by the sidelines for the past few years, her whole life really. Picking up Taurus' discarded axe, she silently apologized to the downed bull for keeping him here instead of sending him back to the Celestial Spirit World.
Shigaraki decided to not let them recuperate anymore, "Nomu. Kurogiri. Kill him." He ordered. "I'll deal with the children."
'I'm afraid I barely have a minute left in this form. My power's declining faster than I thought it would.' All Might steadied his breathing, willing himself to keep up his transformation. He was exhausted having been using it for most of the day, but he needed to do this, this was arguably one of the most important times to work through his disability.
"Let's clear this level and go home." Shigaraki uttered, moving in a flash, seeing no reason to prolong this any further.
'Even so, I have to stop these villains.'
Red shoes pattered forward once more as Shigaraki charged en route to the students.
"Heads up, we're fightin' after all." Kirishima warned.
'Because I am…'
Power surged through All Might, he channeled One For All throughout his body, his Quirk enhancing like it has countless times before.
'...the world's Symbol of Peace and Justice!'
Shigaraki froze in his tracks as the air pressure surged from All Might's sheer power. Nomu lurched forward at the same time All Might lunged, the two muscular figure's fists colliding with one another, creating a large shockwave that blew everyone away, literally.
Flipping through the air Shigaraki grunted, "Weren't you listening?" He landed on his feet and stopped his momentum with his right hand, "One of his powers is shock absorption."
"Yeah?" All Might retorted, "What about it?"
With a furious yell, he continued the onslaught, Nomu mirrored the man's actions, their fists repeatedly smashing against each other. The force of their blows was pushing the other spectators back, with everyone struggling against the pressure.
"He's gonna fight that brain guy head-on?" Midoriya asked as he and Bakugo were crouched by each other shielding their faces from the wind.
"Whoa, they're… so fast!" Kirishima noted stumbling from the winds as Todoroki stared in awe.
"No! I can't get near them!" Kurogiri cursed, wisps of mist going everywhere as the two continued their exchange.
"He said your Quirk was only shock absorption, not nullification." All Might explained, never once pausing his strikes, "That means there's a limit to what you can take, right?" All Might dealt blows to Nomu's front, with indents of his strikes being seen throughout the monster's back.
All Might groaned as Nomu's fist connected to the wound he inflicted earlier, but this gave him the drive necessary in order to double down harder on his foe.
Debris flew all around the area as All Might kicked it up a notch, "So, you were made to fight me, big guy." All Might pushed the monster back, his strikes becoming more and more aggressive. His arms were blurred as he punched at high speeds, "If you can really withstand me firing at 100% of my power…"
Shigaraki gasped at the display of power. Nomu… Hisindestructible Nomu… He was shaken out of his stupor as All Might continued.
"I'll have to go beyond that and force you TO SURRENDER."
The exchange grew more and more furious, progressing into a fight the naked eye would struggle to keep up with. Blood spattered, sweat flew, and through it all, All Might pushed forward, his punches calculated. He struck at his foe, going beyond his usual power, knowing that if he didn't then no one would be able to stop this beast.
Midoriya trembled as he watched the display, worry for his mentor flooding him. He knew that he was at his limit, yet despite that he was still going. It was moments like these that really reminded him of what made All Might his favorite hero.
Lucy had seen plenty of fights within her lifetime, she had even fought in some herself. But watching All Might and Nomu exchange blows was a completely terrifying experience. She was relieved the pro had come to finish this, she had actually fought that thing.
All Might bashed Nomu with his fist sending the villain skidding across the plaza. Shigaraki growled as he watched All Might spring toward Nomu.
"A real hero…" Nomu twisted his body, clawing at the cement and crawling frenziedly toward All Might, leaping high up at the man. All Might used his momentum to crash into his upper body sending the monster flipping. "...will always find a way for justice to be served!"
Nomu tried to strike All Might down to the ground, All Might braced himself, the ground shattered beneath him, his leg vaulted Nomu away as he kicked at the monster.
Rising up high, All Might attempted to crash into Nomu's head feet first, surfing along the ground as Nomu jumped to avoid the full force of the attack.
Gliding across the floor All Might ran to meet his foe. He grabbed Nomu by the arm, spinning for momentum as they rose in the air, and sent the monster hurling down with a mighty yell.
The students were stunned as they watched their teacher go beyond his limits in order to save the day, the sheer display of strength reminding them of everything they could aim to be.
Nomu's body bounced on the floor as All Might flashed in front of him in a crouch, "Now for a lesson." All Might rose to his fully height. "You may have heard these words before, but I'll teach you what they really mean."
All For One surged through his body and traveled to All Might's right arm, his fist channeling his power as he reared it back, "Go beyond!"
A powerful aura enshrouded All Might's arm as the wind bent around his strike, "PLUS ULTRA!"
Nomu's body folded directly where All Might had punched his gut. The strike sent Nomu soaring, right into the dome of USJ. First crashing into the lights, then directly out of the dome and flying away, his figure disappearing in a twinkle of light.
. . .
The building shook as multiple students felt the aftershock of the exchange.
In the Downpour Zone, Tokoyami gasped as he felt the rumble, "What's happening? Everything is shaking." Koda nervously looked around from beside him, the two had been fighting off the villains in the rainy enclosed area.
Similarly in a fiery area, the Conflagration Zone, Ojiro had been using his Quirk to take out the intruders, only pausing because of the tremor. "What was that?"
At the entrance of USJ, behind Levy's runes, the remaining students turned to the hole now residing in the building's side. "Um, did a villain just fly by? Or am I going crazy?" Sero asked as he and Uraraka supported Thirteen.
Shoji held Aizawa securely on his back, his superior strength and stature held the man with no problem. "Such power."
"Ah... that's All Might for you." Mineta teared up, "That's why he's the most amazing hero in the entire world!"
"Ribbit ribbit!" Tsu chirped happily as Uraraka and Mina both exchanged smiles.
. . .
"That was like the finishing move in a video game." Kirishima noted, looking directly at the new hole in USJ. "He beat the shock absorption right out of him. I've never seen that kind of brute strength!"
"Imagine having power like that." Bakugo commented from beside Kirishima, "He must've been punching that monster so fast, he couldn't regenerate."
"Was that insane to anyone else?" Lucy teared up, if she hadn't fought a practically indestructible dragon before she would've lost her composure long ago.
'He really is the best.' Todoroki thought.
'That's how you get to be a pro.' Bakugo thought.
'He did it…' Midoriya thought as he glanced over to All Might. The man was cloaked in dust from his final attack.
"I really have gotten weaker." He said, "Back in my heyday, five hits woulda been enough to knock that guy out." He clenched his fist across his chest, "But today, it took more than 300 mighty blows."
"Times up. Gotta end this fast." The pro muttered to himself. He shifted to face Shigaraki, the boy trembling in what couldn't be discernable from sadness or anger. "You've been bested, villains."
All Might's body began smoking, blending in perfectly with the dust around him. "We all want to get this over with quickly."
Shigaraki wept over the loss of his Nomu, "He cheated."
