"Ow! Fuck me that hurts!" I shouted, pulling my arm to my chest.
"It's going to hurt more if you don't stay still!" Lisa snapped back.
Lisa looked more exhausted than usual, the bags under her eyes had grown even though more nurses moved around her clinic treating battle injuries and in some cases preparing the bodies for funeral. I gave her my arm as she began treating more injuries along my arm, some that healed improperly even after a round of ambrosia.
"So Leo had done a cosplay of Leonidas before?" Lisa asked, sighing as she cut open my flesh to treat my arm.
"Yes, whenever is was capture the flag day during Ares' class he puts on armor and that cloak," I answered, wincing as a scalpel moved down my arm.
"Then you said the cloak has more practical purposes, other than intimidation," Lisa stitched my arm quickly, then examined my abdomen looking where a burst of magic hit.
"Yes, the cloak was woven by Athena herself made from fine spider silk as a favor for Ares. Leo treasures it like his sword, and uses it for few occasions," I thought back to the time he choked a player out so bad the guy had a mark on his throat for a week. "Whenever he uses it a huge battle is coming, something kids of Ares can sense well in advance."
"Same with children of Minerva, it's not even a noticeable trait it's just something that happens. I studied Penny White and Chris Fletcher recently and found they both have heightened reflexes because of Owl Sight," Lisa smiled. "I've yet to study a chosen Daughter or Son of Poseidon."
"Well, you have started cutting me open already," I sighed out as Lisa pressed her hand to my abdomen.
Lisa's eyes turned a bright yellow as her hand pressed down, her eyes flashed and her hand was pushed away in a burst of white energy. Smoke rose from the blast zone, the pain wasn't immediate in fact my abdomen just felt warm and cozy. Then it burned, then heat flooded into my veins like iodine making me double over and throw up black liquid onto the floor. I breathed in fast and rapid, almost choking on the bile in my throat, throwing up again as I threw my body against the wall getting what I could into a trash can nearby.
"Well….that's an-" Lisa paused for a moment as the liquid on the floor started smoking. "Interesting reaction, what did you get hit with?"
"Dark magic with the full concentration of Hekate's moon," I breathed out heavily, crouching down.
"You have awhile until I can work on you again like this….why don't you begin where you left off," She sat down, watching me.
Lisa was having me tell her the entire story of what happened, a nurse wrote down every detail as I explained my story. Everytime the nurse stepped out the pencil kept moving, a magician of sorts if I had to guess. I looked into Lisa's tired eyes, and took a deep breath feeling my lungs expand fully one last time while I had a break.
"Right….Leonidas and I walked for what felt like hours until we came upon the walls of Troy," I started.
"What was left of Troy, you mean?" Lisa questioned.
"No, The City of Troy. The men there had the chance to rebuild, their story claimed by The Mediterranean like the others and they made it new. It's ruled by The Goddess of Sailors, The Queen of Sparta, Helen," I began the story once more recalling our encounter in Troy.
"Helen of Sparta? Well now I have to hear the full story, Sara," Lisa sat back, sipping some water.
"We had marched through the field for what felt like hours, hell, the way my feet felt it may as well have been a day. That being said 'King' Leonidas looked unbothered, he wasn't even breaking a sweat under all of his armor," I started recalling more about my story in The Bermuda. "I wish we had brought Odysseus into the realm instead of Jason, Troy made me realize why we didn't want him."
