"I said go, so go." The doctor glared at the young nurse, who could only look at Angel sympathetically before releasing her and leaving the doctor's office.
Angel leaned against the wall, standing on one high-heeled shoe, and very slowly made her way out of the doctor's office. Then she called her assistant to come pick her up.
She sat on a long bench in the hospital corridor, growing increasingly frustrated.
She had never been so embarrassed, never.
Back at her rented apartment, she had her assistant buy a wheelchair for her. She would move around in the wheelchair and quickly sent her assistant away.
She had told Su Junhao she was alone in Jiang City, hoping to arouse some sympathy from him. If he saw her assistant, wouldn't her lie fall apart?
Just as her assistant left, the phone in her bag rang. But it wasn't her phone; it was Su Junhao's phone.
She always kept his phone on her.
