Chapter 120
664 10/12 0:12 (Autumn, Sunrise, Midrar)
Reality shifted around Luna, the Lunarian immediately activating her newest Skill among her laughter.
A perfect sphere appeared, six meters in range and completely isolating the inside from the outside, the inside completely filled in a blurring white substance.
After a couple of seconds of the Domain being filled with this wavering matter, it finally dissolved revealing the inside.
Outside of Luna, all the solid objects inside were now perfectly reproduced, composed of a dull white material that behaved as both a liquid and a solid as desired, hardening into rocks, metals or crystals, shifting into sand and then fully liquifying only to change state once more.
The air inside was completely black, not so much as a clear night sky would look like but instead being identical to the empty void that could only be seen from a place with no atmosphere present, like in this case the surface of the Moon.
Luna's glee was shared fully by her using their Mate's Mark, the Lunarian being unwilling to isolate this type of emotions from her Mates, laughing hard.
Not that she could actually be heard considering how sound did not transmit without a fluid functioning as a medium.
Sabel, feeling the overwhelming tide of sharp desire to be tested and to grow constantly emanating by the white-haired one, immediately responded, covering her body in a tight layer of Light-Attribute and Aura mixed together and Infused with her Rebellion's Effect before rushing forward.
While all True Domains had Borders delimiting their area of influence, the mobility and solidity of said Borders changed depending on the Domain and their user; in Luna's case, the Domain's location and Borders were fixed, indipendently of her position so long as she was inside, the reason the Lunarian was waiting for them to enter on their own instead of jumping out to force them inside.
As Sabel approached the Domain under the eager gaze of its creator, she experimentally placed an hand on the Border, feeling nothing stopping her from entering and, upon pulling her limb back, she was able to confirm there was nothing stopping her from retreating.
Fully sealing herself within a dense layer of Aura, the Human rushed forward at full speed, her sword slashing towards Luna's neck, noticing both the lack of air resistance beyond just the breathable one and the much lower gravity that almost sent her flying right over the Lunarian.
This last one responded with a silent laugh, bringing her left hand to the side and causing a chunk of the fine ground to erupt, liquifying before solidifying in a greatsword with a metallic configuration except for the crystalline edge.
The 120 cm long blade crashed into the flailing one's own blade, redirecting their momentum completely to crash back down to the ground, floating in mid-air briefly before dashing after her, growing used to her new weapon and environment.
The black-haired one landed on the ground, groaning upon feeling it soften to cushion her fall before hardening once more to send her back on her feet, her black eyes immediately finding the pale figure belonging to her Mate in the black sky above, falling in a nosedive towards her.
Pressing her hands against the ground, Sabel flipped herself to the side, waving a couple of times with her arms to try and stabilize her flight.
Luna slammed into Sabel's previous location, the floor underneath her caving in to disperse the impact before bouncing the Lunarian right towards her Mate, the force of her landing perfectly redirected so that she was now flying once more to the swordswoman, the impact on the ground beneath them being the only proof of the immense speed that would have caused a sonic boom in an atmosphere.
Sabel immediately rose her sword in the way, a pane of solid light forming around it, instinctively forming a 127,5 centimeter long greatsword around her weapon, firming her stance before swinging, meeting the Lunarian's blade with her own, turning with the force of her blow and throwing the white-haired one towards the outside of the Domain.
And considering that this place had no atmosphere to slow down her momentum nor were there anything in the way, aiming on simply causing the Domain to collapse by forcing its Caster to exit from it.
Luna's silent laugher continued without pause, her savage glee clear even without using their Mate's Mark to feel it, as she manipulated the Astral Ichor within her veins, pressing ìt towards the ground and in this way being able to forcefully slam herself in the solid material, her veins bursting because of the sudden and forcefull movement.
Sabel started to press her weight against it, moving to dash forward but stopping upon feeling the ground's consistency constantly changing without rhyme or reason, the much weaker gravity and the completely absent atmosphere assuring that her charge would be inaccurate, trying to grasp as much as possible of the environment around her and how she could properly use it in a fight.
Luna, seeing her hesitation and confusion about her Domain, smiled.
Her Will expanded fully to envelop Sabel, shifting in nature and starting to vibrate in a rough imitation of her own voice. "Wondering about my Domain?" She sent out, her fangs gleaming within her sharp smile. "In that case, why don't you experience some more of it directly!"
Luna's silver blood flowed through the wounds on her extremities ruptured open by the sudden pressure change and impact on the ground, the ground eagerly drinking the silver fluid.
The Lunarian bent down slightly, the solid surface beneath her bending slightly on its own before ripling, launching her with even more force towards Sabel.
The Human's and Lunarian's swords crashed into each other, the force causing Sabel to slid back until she slammed into a wall of the white substance risen at Luna's silent command, the solid immediately liquifying and then solidifying around her, trapping her in place.
Watching the Human struggle to escape her hold, Luna smiled, playfully petting her head before her Will vibrated again. "You don't need force to escape. Watch and figure out how you should escape." She commanded softly with gleaming eyes, holding back her more carnal instincts to share her insight.
Red eyes turned towards the sky, observing the flying Mafel and more precisely the twenty pillars of solid Curses, each a meter long and around five centimeters wide, floating near her.
Ten spikes fell towards Luna at once, crossing the boundaries of her Domain to test out how its physical conditions impacted their trajectories.
Studying the disruption in their flight path, Luna having deflected away only those that would have otherwise struck her or Sabel, Mafel shifted the remaining ones' path and proportions slightly, adjusting them for the differences that they would find in both gravity and air resistance.
A new volley fell, the solid Curses raining down with newfound precision towards the Lunarian, their bladed tips aiming on impaling the Vampiric one.
Luna's laughter would have filled the Domain if any air was present, her savage glee burning brightly through their Marks, her sword liquifying before reforming into a long whip ending in a stinger-like blade.
Together with her swing, Luna deflected away all ten spikes, her red eyes finding the medium and noticing the way that she was now accumulating an evergrowing amount of solid Curses for the next bombardment now that she figured out enough about how her Domain functioned when it comes to its physical characteristics.
Yet even so her attention was quickly stolen to another of her Mates, Amber.
The Phoenix, having instinctively felt a threat in her Domain, had initially sent a small fireball inside only to feel it extinguish due to the lack of oxygen inside, held back flying in mid-air, trying to figure out how she could properly fight in a place that was so naturaly hostile to her existence as a being of flames and wind alone.
She was, after all, unable to just guess the way her Aura should behave to bypass the Domain's hostile attributes as Sabel did, she was not an Entity born with the ability to just live and thrive in any habitat nor was she able to just attack from the outside with matter indipendent of air as solidified Curses.
Yet even so she was both the oldest of them and, even if not as monstrous as two certain Mates of hers, she was still a very capable fighter with a wealth of raw power considering her Racial Skill's Rank and the theoretical and pratical teachings from both of her mothers.
Even if she couldn't simply bypass the Domain's condition, she could work out a way around it.
The bird of flames screeched in determination, her Aura enveloping her completely before forcefully compressing her body.
Taking advantage of the more fluid composition of her original form and the nature of her Aura as a part of herself to force her physical body to condense in a form identical to her Humanoid guise, if one did not count the fact she was currently made of writhing plasma only held at bay by her vibrant Aura.
Amber launched herself down, her wavering fingers holding steady around the hilt of her Unique Arma, creating a second layer of Aura around the first and spending Mana to constantly generate and hold air between the two layers, a makeshift way to demonstrate her full power in all habitats, whether flooded or without any air at all.
The Phoenix slammed down, crossing the borders of the Domain to crash her curved blade against Luna, this last one having recalled her whip to envelop her forearm, functioning as an armor to more easily block the blow, her feet sliding back slightly because of the force of the fall, heat radiating from the figure of living flames.
Luna smiled, glad of seeing her Mates progressing with her, especially considering the fact that Mafel flying above was preparing something new for her.
