Fan Tianyu's description is actually quite spot-on. Even though Mei Mengzhen's current dorm isn't like that, Mei Mengcheng has never seen it before. Mei Mengcheng went to a vocational school, and the dorms there are exactly those bunk beds, so Mei Mengcheng immediately got what he meant.
After checking out the restaurant, they went to look at the nearby dorms. Just as Fan Tianyu said, the dorms really weren't far from the store—almost stepping out of the compound and you'd get there, just a few minutes' walk. But the dorms were completely empty, literally nothing inside.
Mengcheng said, "So we just need to buy beds? Looks like it doesn't have anything else. Don't we need to get some other stuff?"
Fan Tianyu replied, "How could it have nothing? Look, there's a hot water heater and a washing machine. We'll be providing meals, so eating and drinking will all happen in the restaurant. The dorms don't need much—these basics are enough."
