Half-awake, Mei Mengzhen jolted awake from her dream, sitting rigidly upright in bed.
He Yiran stood anxiously by her bedside and asked, "Zhenzhen, what's wrong?"
What's wrong?
"What's wrong with me?" Mei Mengzhen wiped the sweat from her forehead and replied in a weak voice.
"You must have had a nightmare. You were muttering in your sleep just now, but we couldn't make out what you were saying – it was all unclear, and then you started yelling in pain, which is why we woke you up."
As expected, besides He Yiran, Yan Keke, and Luo Yingying who were nearby, she hadn't noticed anyone else before. That dream really scared her.
"It's nothing, I just had a nightmare. It scared me to death," Mei Mengzhen explained.
Everyone was speechless. Did this scene really need any explanation? Anyone could see that she had a nightmare.
Yan Keke asked, "Zhenzhen, what did you dream about that was so scary? We called out to you forever and still couldn't wake you up."
