Last week, the two of them got a few days off, and as a result, missed a few days of classes. However, they were both busy last week with other things, so neither Jiang Cheng nor He Yiran had the time to catch up on the missed lessons. A week later, they still hadn't made up the classes, but letting it slide wasn't an option, so the task of catching up fell to the evenings.
If you asked someone like Yan Keke and the others, "There aren't even any exams right now, and you two didn't miss that much. Just make up for it together later, what's the rush."
In her understanding—and honestly, in most people's understanding—it's actually quite easy to catch up with missed material. All you need to do is focus hard and cram for a few days before the exams.
But Mei Mengzhen thought differently, "Everyone thinks this way. When the time comes, the self-study room will be packed. I'd rather master the material now so I don't end up fighting for a spot when exams roll around."
