But things weren't as relaxed for Pei Ziyu as they were for Mei Mengzhen.
Even though it was the weekend, his work was still packed. This time he was away for two whole days, so he had to shift his workload to Tan Jia. Poor Tan Jia, working alone over the holiday in the office, so now that Pei Ziyu was back, he naturally had to go help out at the law firm.
But the expression on his face still couldn't quite hold together.
So much so that when Tan Jia saw Pei Ziyu's face, he briefly thought that the Mei Family didn't fancy Pei Ziyu.
Which was pretty interesting.
Tan Jia immediately comforted him, gloating a little, "Come on, so what if they didn't like you, it's no big deal, why the face? Your girlfriend's still young, you two have plenty of time—four years, actually. Just let her auntie warm up to you. It's really not that serious."
However, that wasn't it at all.
Pei Ziyu replied with a deadpan face, "Sorry to disappoint you, her auntie was extremely satisfied with me."
