Mei Yinan glanced at her, didn't bother beating around the bush, and went straight to the point: "Yifan, I won't sugarcoat it either. I'm calling you to Jiangcheng because there's something going on. Zhenzhen got bullied over there. Her parents aren't around anymore, you know. We're her Auntie and younger Aunt, so shouldn't we stand up for her?"
Mei Yifan heard it was yet another issue about Mengzhen and didn't reject it right away, but she felt a bit annoyed about it. Ever since Mengzhen's parents passed away, Mei Yinan had often scolded them because of her. They were all getting up there in age, and after a while, you start to feel embarrassed and resentful about it.
But resentment aside, they're still family. As the younger Aunt, she still asked, "What happened? Who bullied Zhenzhen and how? Zhenzhen doesn't really strike me as someone who's easy to bully, you know?"
